New Moon is a time of new beginninngs. This is when the moon is completely invisible.

The Waxing Crescent Moon signifies your intention. This is when the moon looks like the Cheshire Cat's grin.

First Quarter Moon, when the moon is only a quarter visible, represents decision making.

Waxing Gibbous (pronounced "gib - bis") Moon is when "the moon looks like a toenail". This part of the cycle signifies removal of unwanted or negative influence.

The Full Moon is about realeasing and sealing your intention.

Waning Gibbous Moon, the bit looks like the Waxing Gibbous Moon in the opposite direction, is centred on gratitude.

Third Quarter Moon is when the moon is a quarter missing, signifying forgiveness.

Waning Crescent Moon is the one reflecting the thin grin of Cheshire Cat, representing surrender.

Then the cycle repeats.
