Jake POV

I was walking on a vast plains; there seemed no end anywhere you look. I walked and walked until I felt my feet became numb. The sun shone brightly but it doesn't hurt your skin. I continued to walked even the numbness begging me to stop and rest for a while. "Where am I", I could not count how many times I asked my self the same question through out the endless journey that I don't know where the exact place to go.

I abruptly stopped myself from walking when I noticed the surrounding changed. The sun stop from shining as the dark clouds appeared. The vast plains became the lifeless mountain where no one could ever wish to live in; dead trees scattered and this time you can hear sounds, sounds of freakish animals which seems to be scrambling for food because of extreme hunger.

I felt terrified and jumped from extreme shocked that I almost stop from breathing and past out, a woman, I know it's a woman since her posture was of a woman was standing few meters away from me under a dead tree. She wore tattered long dress and I don't know the exact color as it was covered with dirt; she was humming, no she's was crying softly that I almost not able to hear her. She covered her face with her messy long curly hair as if not able to run by any kind of comb for years. She walked towards me and I was terribly shaking, I wanted to run but it felt like my feet was held by some invisible force that I was planted where I stood, my mouth could not able to produce sounds even a single A. I wanted to shut my eyes but seemed they had their own mind that wherever the horrific image in front of me would followed.

I kept comforting myself and telling repeatedly, "it's just a dream, this is not real. I'm only dreaming. I was with my love sleeping with him. This is just a dream" . But I felt it is reality and I began to laugh slowly, I'm a man, an alpha and soon to be the alpha of Anderson Pack but afraid with some horrible night terror, what kind of alpha am I if so?

"Yes, what kind of an alpha  are you", the horrific woman asked me and I almost shrieked if I didn't covered immediately my mouth when she was talking foot away from me suddenly. Her sad eyes made a view that you could tell like she was crying for days or weeks," What kind of an alpha are you when you could not able to accomplish even a single request and you had promised to fulfill", she continued, "Di ba ingon ko sa imo, gihangyo teka, nagpakiluoy ko nimo pero imo lang giusikan ang among pagsakripisyo. Imong gibaliwala ang mga luha nga nga miagas sa iyang mga mata",I don't know but I was able to understand her words. I don't know what kind of language she used but I could understand her. "He cried for month, almost not able to cope himself from feeling alone as his beloved grandma died in front of him after sacrificing herself for her beloved grandsons and you, especially You!" The woman yelled, her face was now in proper view and I knew who she was. Her eyes full of tears of regrets looking at my pathetic self.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry lola. I didn't fulfill what I had promised to you", I was crying too, crying not only for being horrible person that couldn't be able to fulfill a single request from a dead person but also for hurting those I love.

"I was very regretful for sacrificing myself, boy. I told you, I will hunt you if you don't fulfill my only wish because you promised. You promised!", I was shocked as the surrounding changed again and this time I was in the hospital. I was lying on a hospital bed in a white room but I wasn't alone as there's another person lying in the next bed but that person was no longer breathing. No, I was not lying there as I myself standing in the middle where the eleven year old me was the one lying on my left while the old woman lying dead on my right.

"Look boy! Look at the person who sacrificed for you, for you to live but you did not fulfill her single request for taking care of her beloved grandsons. I told you, they seemed to be strong and happy but they're as fragile as a very thin glass you've had ever seen and as sad as those people who their last meal was grabbed.
