"So... do you wanna confront her or something?"

Darryl shrugged nervously, "I don't know. If she reveals the photo to the internet, it could ruin the surprise plan we had. And like... start rumors."

"I know." Zak groaned, "But earlier in our plane, the creeper girl promised to not mention us meeting up! She sounded devoted too..."

"Creeper girl? Skeppy that's rude."

Zak paused. "I- " He face palmed, "Her jacket was a creeper one! You know, minecraft? I'm not that mean, alright. She's not a creep."

"Okay."

"Seriously, I'm being serious Darryl!"

"Okay! I believed you already! We're getting off topic!"

The duo both came up with the hesitant decision to confront the girl, after a bit (no,  a lot) of bickering. Zak and Darryl both stood up, having finished their food, and turned to the seat where the girl's sitting.

Was sitting.

"She's gone..."

They both glanced at eachother, panic sounding an alarm in Zak's mind. They simultaneously decided to chase after them, before running in opposite directions around the bakery, having to dodge tables, weave around book shelves, and avoid the feet of peaceful people eating fancy bread.

There was too much build up around Skeppy and Bad's meeting, it couldn't be revealed by a photo of the two of them eating muffins in a fucking bakery. If only this bakery wasn't so damn big...

Zak looped around a book shelf, and ended up circling around it 20 times in a row before realising he was going in a circle. "Fuck why am I such an idiot?!"

"Zak! Here!" Darryl suddenly yelled. He ran over to the direction of the voice, to see Darryl panting by the door of the place. He pointed outside by the sidewalk, but all Zak could catch was the end of a green hoodie disappearing behind a set of stairs, and a final, omniscient shine from the glitter of her phone case.

"Fuck." Zak slumped over himself, and held himself on his knees, finally attempting to catch his breath. "They got away."

The entirety of the bakery were staring at the two of them, having them just chased a young teen and a pregnant woman out of a normally calm bakery. "We... should go." Zak finally huffed. He standed up straight, and offered his hand.

Darryl just nodded and grabbed Zak's tan hand to stand up, having too much on his mind, and too embarrassed and tired to speak. They called an Uber that appeared in only 5 minutes. They made sure the woman in the front seat didn't know them, before discussing what the hell just happened.

"I can't believe they got away " Darryl groaned. "This is all my fault, I should've expected someone would see us in that gigantic bakery... what was I thinking?" He sat, drowning in overwhelming guilt. There he was again, caring too much with the velvet sweet voice of his. "And I still can't believe someone followed you! I totally didn't even consider that happening when I invited you! What if it wasn't just a teen girl who followed you, what if it was someone dangerous?! What if you got hurt? I'd never forgive myself!" I still haven't forgiven myself... "Maybe if you didn't come here in the first place you might've been safe! At least not in a public plane! I can't- I can't let you..." Everything's always his fault. Darrel always messes up everything. With his brother too, it was too similar.

"Darryl-" But Darryl couldn't hear him. Zak's voice was drowned out by his thoughts. His painful thoughts.

Darryl's heart started sounding in his head, the guilt and the worry piled on his eyes and throat. His throat felt clogged up, his nose useless now, for breathing. Be panted, but no matter how much he tried to breathe, nothing would enter his lungs. His nose wouldn't suck up air, no matter how heard he tried. He was drowning. Tears streamed from his eyes, making everything blurry, and shaky, and scary. Everything was all his fault. Everything. He should just-

SLAP

"Bitch. Stupid... bitch"

"oh shit." The Uber driver gasped.

Darryl had to take a double take. "Wh-"

"Shut the fuck up and stop blaming yourself!" Zak yelled, knocking Darryl from his pity pool from whiplash. "Stop... just stop! Don't talk like that. Darryl you're too good of a person, and it wasn't your fault! I wanted to come to you in the first place because of how good of a person you are and how much I fuckin love you!"

Zak slapped Darryl again.

"Damn" The Uber whispered.

and again."D-DAMN!"

DARRYL SLAPPED AWAY ZAKS HANDS. "OW WHAT THE FUDGE?!"

"YOU'RE AN AMAZING PERSON. I was the one causing a scene. You know, spilling my tea and stuff. Plus, it might've still been a coincidence. We don't know that the girl actually followed us! It could've very well been a fucking coincidence!" Zak most sounded as if he was trying to convince himself. Like a flower you'd buy at the corner store sitting in your house for a couple of days, he wilted over slightly. Shaken. "So... just... stop..." Zak's voice shakes, and he wiped his watery eyes.

"..."

"I-Im sorry for slapping you."

Darryl leaned back, closing his eyes. "Hah." The rapid rise and fall of his chest slowing down. "I-It's okay, I kinda needed it." He sniffed, and wiped his flooded eyes too. "The bakery is pretty popular around here anyways, so, It's probably not that likely that girl was following you. But..." Darryl turned to Skeppy, hurt filling his eyes. The creases in his face, the way his eyebrows tilted, was all just flowing hurt. "I'm still not sure... that you're completely safe. And they took a picture of you, and , we still have to have dinner, I'm starving!"

Zak threw himself to hug Darryl. "Stop worrying. They seemed innocent enough, and they're probably not gonna do anything with the picture. The creeper girl promised. You said it yourself, the bakery is really popular in this area. Plus, I'm basically an expert in take out food so stfu"

Darryl nodded, sniffing into Skeppy's hair. "Yeah... I'm sorry."

Zak smiled, feeling satisfied at his ability to calm down Darryl. (Even though he did it through multiple slaps to the face.) Too often it was the other way around, and he didn't get many chances to cheer him up. Hence: Skeppy feeling like a useless lil bitch most of the time

Darryl looked down at Skeppy. "But even if the creeper girl does post it, it's not like we can't take a little picture of us eating, right? It'd probably give us lots of clout anyways."

Zak chuckled. "Yeah, probably."

The Uber suddenly cleared her throat. "UH... We're here."

"Oh I forgot she was here..."

Fun fact: Covid is already over in this universe (:

Please vote if you enjoyed this chapter! B-) also please correct me if I misspell something, promise I don't mind! (: What do you think they were listening to in the uber? I personally think that they'd listen to some random indie song or something but I personally like bands like mother mother
