Zak entered Darryl's house, suprised at how clean it was, though stacks of papers and books lined the walls. There was a large leather couch in front of a tv, and a little coffee table in-between, that looked hastily cleaned.

He glanced around to see that there wasn't really a color scheme in the room, it was just random small items stacked in corners and a white rug on the ground. Zak sat on the black leather couch, when a tiny white, shaggy rat jumped on him. "RAT!!!" Zak laughed, petting the crusty dog's expired head.

"She likes you!" Darryl smiled, sitting next to him.

Zak softly anf scratched her chin, gently stroking his hand into a pet onto Lucy's back, her licking his hand on the way. "She's so cute!"

"She loves you so much and you haven't even fed her yet..." Darryl remarked in disbelief. "You're the chosen one."

Zak giggled, and continued to pet Rat. "Sorry Bad, me and Rat are soulmates. Didn't mean to steal her from you."

Darryl playfully rolled his eyes. "Oh, please. I'd just kill you if that were the case."

"gasp. You'd really murder me? I thought we had something?"

"Did you just say gasp? Zak... Sometimes I wonder if you're really going to college in a few months." They laughed. It was a comforting sound, and Darryl's voice seemed less estatic. Not in a bad way, just, more calm and loose. Zak leaned his head into Darrel's shoulder, Rat comfortably laying in his hoodie covered arms.

"No, I'm totally really smart. I bet you don't even know how to vectorize the chrysanthemum of the equilibrium in the photosynthesis."

Darryl rolled his eyes again. "No, no, you're right. Unlike you I have absolutely no idea how to vectorize the chrysanthemum of the equilibrium of the blah blah blah." They laughed again, the warmth from their synchronized voices bleeding through Zak's body, and talked for a while in this position, before there was a loud rumble from Zak's stomach. "Oop"

"Want me to cook something?"

"Let's just order food, since it's so late already." Zak suggested. He stood up and walked over to the piles of paper by the walls. "And we could watch a movie too. I'm pretty sure I saw some DVDs over here. "

"Wait- no-" Darryl stuttered, standing up. "It's really messy there so I wouldn't..."

Zak turned around curiously. "Oh~ hiding something from me?" And turned back to flip through old papers. "You never tell me anything, so maybe I'll find something?"

"What?" Darryl akwardly laughed. "Seriously. I'll just put on Netflix, no one watches DVDs anymore." Zak continued silently shuffling through his stuff. "Seriously, Zak it's rude to-" Darryl stopped mid sentence, and immediately froze in shock when he saw what was in Zak's hands.

"Why are there..." Zak started, confused. "You..."

"This is why I told you to stop, you can never mind your business!" Darryl shakily yelled, fear hollowing out his stomach and fuzzying his head. He snatched the piles and piles of unpaid bills from Zak's hands, and then held them to his chest, shaking.

Zak's eyes were wide in confusion. "W-wait, what?"

"Do you know how rude it is to randomly look through people's personal business without permission? That's not cool, Zak. I told you to stop!" Angry tears gathered in the corner of his eyes. "You can't just so that! Obviously I didn't..." His voice cracked. "Want you to see them... so forget about them, alright?!"
