Anguis (pl. angui): one of the five patrias; really thick snakes with humanoid arms, a humanoid face and humanoid neck, found in tropical rainforests

Caela (pl. caeli): one of the five patrias; airborne species: eagles, dragons, bats, moths, any flying creature really; found mostly in mountainous areas
Faber (pl. fabri): one of the five patrias; humanoid in general figure, with branches sprouting from different parts of their body and textured, bark-like skin; found in forests (both temperate and tropical)
Hibri: someone who is the offspring of a different species relationship
Ingra/Ingrata: a derogatory term patrias and hibris use for humans that loosely means invader or foreigner
Maxi (pl. maxis): one of the five patrias; big nomadic cats (lions, tigers etc) that can stand on two legs; large, opposable paws in order to grab and hold weapons, and are able to make human-like expressions
Moons: God (i.e., swear on the moons, for moons' sake)
Moons above: an expression of excitement
Moons-damned: basically goddamned
Patrias: the official name for the intelligent species that are not human
Rana (pl. ranae): one of the five patrias; humanoid swamp creatures with big eyes, webbed fingers and feet, and gills on their neck; extremely slippery and aerodynamic; found in swamps and coastal areas and affected by the type of water they're in
Ruma: a derogatory term used to describe a person in a relationship with someone of another species, often used to describe hibri as well
Six tides: damn, shit
Tide bringer: an asshole, jerk
