"You know what, Draco?" you ask, turning to look at Draco, who's sitting next to you beside the Great Lake,"I'm not supposed to be here at this time." you look up at the sky, where a bright star twinkles in the darkness of night,"It must be around midnight now."
"Well...yeah." Draco smiles,"Me neither."
"So...how did you get here? I mean...with Filch and Mrs. Norris around?" you say, your eyes fixed on the twinkling star.
"Filch's a Squib and Mrs. Norris is a cat. What a perfect match." Draco smirks,"And how about you?"
"Well...Madame Maxime is just a witch, after all." you shrug,"A massive one." you add, chuckling.
"True." Draco laughs,"Who do you reckon will be your school's champion?"
"Fleur. No one of age is better than her in our school. I hope she'll win." you answer,"I guess Cedric Diggory will be Hogwarts' champion."
"Who?" Draco asked, looking puzzled.
"Cedric Diggory. From Hufflepuff. I've seen him. People say he's really smart and strong and all. You know, girls gossips."
Draco nodded thoughtfully.
"Where's your cat?" Draco asks excitedly after a while, making you giggle,"You know, the one I got you?"
"She's with my parents." you reply with a huge grin,"It'll be fine back home. I didn't want it to travel such a long journey. And besides, I have a lot to do here."
"Like what?" he asks suggestively and you elbowed him.
"Oh, the Triwizard Tournament, that's a lot already. I mean, I'm not in it, but cheering and encouraging does take time." you shrug, then beam at Draco,"And you're here. I'm here for you too. Happy?"
"Happier than ever." he grins back rather cheekily.

"You said you'd be an Auror if your p...if things were different." Draco says the night after, carefully avoiding the mentioning of your parents, "So you like Potty?"
"Draco..." you sigh, shaking your head while trying your best not to burst out laughing,"What a childish question! No, I don't like him and how cocky he seems to be. But if he's the one who stands up to the Dark Lord, I won't disapprove him, because that means an alternative universe for me, and for you, too. He does that for the better. Well, only if you think this world can get better.
"I'm stuck in this effing world, you see. I'm not satisfied with what I'm supposed to be. I don't care whether you support me or not, if one day that boy forms an army to defeat the Dark Lord, I'll be in it."
"But what...what about your parents?" Draco frowns.
You open your mouth, then close it, not knowing what to say. Yeah, what about them? Standing up to You-Know-Who means standing up to your own mother and father, your own family. And standing up to You-Know-Who means standing up to Draco's parents. You're stuck in this effing world, where every choice you make destroys you, one way or another. So is it better to have no choice? Is it better to live a life which its every detail is already fixed?
"Will you fight the Dark Lord?" you ask yourself and wait for the right answer to come.
Yes or No?
Eventually, the only thing your brain tells you is "I don't know."
