Chapter 6

Somehow, everybody sleeps very long today. But FRIDAY finally wakes them up, because Fury will come.
The 4, who didn't go out yesterday, are the first ones in the kitchen. It's again, a weird silence, and as Peter wants to say sth, the others arrive.
After breakfast, the elevator doors open and Nick Fury steps out, followed by Maria Hill.
„Morning. Slept well?"-„Well, kinda... We..."-„Oh please. I know what you did yesterday. But I want to tell you some things. First, I hope everyone is in a good condition. The mission is going to be hard. Second, always pay attention. It could be possible that they will come here and won't wait, before you go to Russia. And third, Y/n, I know sone things about your parents. They were S.H.I.E.L.D.- agents, before they got brainwashed. And they were two of my best. So I lied yesterday. I know many things about you. So, guys. I thought of making her an Avenger, what do you think?" Peter's head shoots up as he hears this. His mouth claps open. He asked to be an Avenger since 2017 and now some girl, Fury knows a bit longer than him, comes and just becomes to be an Avenger.
Tony gets Peter's shock. „Yo, boss. Question. What about him? He asked to become an Avenger for years now and you told him not yet."-„Parker, you didn't call me back yesterday."-„I-I forgot... I had to think about some things"-„Well, I'll think about it."
Tony wants to go over to his protégé, but Peter just nods and go over to his room. Tony looks at the others and cools them down.
„I will talk to him."
He knocks on Peter's door. „Kid? You alright?" Then he opens the door and goes inside.
„Can you please tell me, why she can be an Avenger after 2 days and I have to wait for years?"-„You know, how often I asked. But I want you to be safe, too, I'm not gonna lie."-„I can't hear it anymore! Everybody says this. And why not to Y/n?"-„Because I don't know her that well as you."-„But why to me? Am I so weak?"-„Peter, because you're like a son to me!"
Tony grabs to his shoulder as he realised, what he just said.
„What?"-„Well, now it's out. Since I asked you to come with us to Germany in 2016, it feels like that. And that's why I just want safety for you." Peter can't believe it.
„Omg, Mr Stark. I'm so sorry!"-„It's okay. Don't worry. I would have reacted the same. But maybe, after this mission, you probably are going to be an Avenger. Officially. For everyone here, you are an Avenger. But if you like, we can provide your suite later that day and order pizza."-„ YES! That will be great!"

The next morning, Peter visits MJ. She tries to lift his mood. „Maybe you should talk to her."-„I already tried like 100 times, but she doesn't listen."-„Hm. I'm thinking about one reason why."-„What is it?"-„Maybe she likes you."-„Of course. We're friends."-„No, Peter. I think she LIKES you."-„Woah! Are you crazy? And even if she does. I only love you! So don't even think about it!"-„But isn't she much cooler with her superpowers?"-„Stop it. Yes, she has superpowers. But with you, I just feel safe and home. I only love you. You understand?"-„I love you, too, dork."
They watch a movie together and then Peter has to go back.

He goes down the stairs (yes, no powers today) and then sth happens.
He got followed by three men, all wearing black suits and masks. Because if his senses, Peter realise it and starts walking faster. But as they come to a street in a human-less area, they grab his arm and pull him in. He can't give any noise from him, cause they cover his mouth and hold him. One of them, holds him. Another one, keeps punching him really hard. And the third one walks around him. They also took away his phone.
„Look. Our little Spider-Man. Let's teach you a lesson." He pulls put a knive from his pocket.
„You know, it was a really big mistake one year ago." He cuts along Peter's arm. „You killed one of our best agents." Then, a cut in the face. „But don't worry. I won't kill you today." One cut on the leg. „So, we will see ya soon. Prepare!"
One final cut over the stomach and they disappear. Peter falls onto the ground and lies there a few more minutes. The tower's just one street away and so he gets up and walks to it, limping.
As soon as he enters the tower, he sees Tony and Y/n, who just were about to leave. But as they run to him and catch him. „Omg! What happened!?" Peter only can speak one word: „H-hydra..." before he passes out , because he lost quite much blood. Tony carries him to the hospital stage, where Bruce and Dr Cho take him. They take care about his blood lost and about his wounds. After 2 hours, Bruce comes out of the room, sees Y/n and Tony still sitting there.
„So, he's stable. He has a lot of knive-wounds and bruises. He also lost a lot of blood. The best thing is, if he rests now. Because if his powers, it won't last that long as at a normal people."-„Can we go in?"-„Like I said, he needs rest. I would suggest only one person for today."
Y/n lies a hand on Tony's shoulder and smiles. „Go to him. I will talk to the others."
He also smiles, goes into the room and sits next to Peter's bed.

The next day, Y/n comes, too. Peter still sleeps. But then, Tony's phones rings.
„Hello?"-„Tony? I know this might be a bad moment, but there was a little accident in the lab. Could you come maybe..."-„Y-yeah. I'll be right there." He turns to Y/n. „I'm sorry, but I have to go to the lab. It won't be that long. But..."-„Yes, of course I can stay here."-„Thanks. I'll be right back."
As Tony goes out of the room, Y/n turns to Peter. „I know, you won't hear me and this is really weird. But I'm so sorry for what happened. If..." She stands up and goes around the room. „If I would've no to Fury..."-„Don't say that. It's absolutely not your fault." Y/n immediately turns around and sees Peter awake. „OMG. You're awake! How are you?"
He tries to sot up, but straight fall back down in pain again. „Well, when I lie, then it's ok." -„Then stay like this. Look, Peter. I didn't know about your struggle of becoming an Avenger. If I had knew it, I would have said no to Fury."-„Y/n, look at me. It's okay. I mean, it could be worse. I just have to lie in bed for a few days. But I could be dead now." Both look down.
„Peter, I have to tell you sth."-„You can always talk to me."-"Peter, I-" And then, Tony comes in. "Oh Pete! You're awake! Oh, sorry. Did I interrupt you at sth?"-"No, it's alright. I have to go now. See you two later.
and with that, Y/n rushes out of the room, leaving two confused men.
"What was that?"-"I don't know. She said, she wanted to tell me sth."-"Maybe she will tell you later. Anyways, how are you feeling? Do you want sth?"-"Ähh, only that my injuries will be healed until we go on the mission so that I can come with you."-„I don't know, if that's a good idea that you come with us..."-„But, Mr Stark! I want to fight against these bastards and see aunt May again. Please!"-„Hmm... I will talk to the others. But for now, you stay here and rest, young man. Do you need sth?"-„My headphones, my phone, laptop, movies and a tea."-„What movies?"-„Mr Stark. You should know me."-„Oh, well. I can imagine what movies. I'll grab you all. I'll be right back."

Then he comes back with all the things. And some more. Too much. He's a bit too overprotective. But he doesn't come alone. There are other team members, too. But not Y/n. ‚Was that thing, she wanted to tell me so bad that she can't come now?'
Anyways, they joke around and take care of him until Dr Cho comes into the room. Everybody has to go now, because the youngest needs rest. He grabs his phone and searchs Y/n's contact. ‚Hey, I know that situation earlier... it was weird, bit if you still want to tell me, you can always come. Well, as far as Dr Cho allows it. Anyways, see you tomorrow. Bye!'
It seems that Y/n turned off her phone. It's also late now. So he grabs his laptop and start watching a movie.
