A Strange Fire

The Invitation

The team of ninjas all gathered in the back booth of Chens Noodle House. "Oh I love this place! They have the best noodles ever!" Cole cheered, grabbing some noodles.
"Hey Nya, wunna share a smoothie?" Jay flirted with a wink, only to earn an eye roll.
"Better back off my daughter before I give you another black eye." Threatened Ray, Nya's father.
"Calm down Ray, I trust that Jay won't hurt her," Maya, Nya's mother calmly spoke.
"Sorry, I just...." The Smiths, including Wu and Garmadon, all shared a knowing look. They knew  why he was so down, he missed him.
They all continued to eat their food and carried on talking until there was a loud bang.

They all looked towards the noise to see men with face paint stealing money from the register.
"This place is getting robbed." Zane, Jay, Cole, Lloyed and Nya all jumped up. They all walked up to them. "Wow! You seriously need to work on your makeup skills!"
"Not the time for jokes Jay" snapped Cole. From just the sight of the ninja, the men all gasped and took off running out the back entrance. The group all took off after then, the older adults following. When they entered the back ally, there were no theives, only a note on the ground.

Lloyd picked it up and read it out loud.

"Dear ninja,
You are all invited to the Tournament of the Elemental Masters. You may take one of your sensei's to guide you. Ray is also invited, you may be suprised. Meet at the dock tomorrow night, do not be late or we shall leave without you. Bring no weapons.

Master Chen."

"Should we go?" Asked Nya.
Ray looked deep in thought before speaking up "I say you should, if he is asking me to go, he clearly has a reason and we need to find out what."
"Garmadon shall join you, he has more knowledge about Chen than me." Stated Sensei.

Everyone nodded before heading home to pack and prepare for whats to come.

~The next day, night~

They were all ready and packed and started to head towards the the door. Arriving at the deck, they saw many elemental masters who seemed to have gotten a letter too. "There are so many!" Nya exclaimed.
"Did you seriously think there was only us?" Asked Ray.
"Thats what we were tolded" commented Zane, clearly confused.
"Master Wu and all his lies, there are multiple masters and it appears they are all here." Ray murmered.

~Coles POV~

We all lined up, ready to board the ferrie. Near the front, I saw a tall slim boy in the front. He wore a mask but I got a small glimps of brown hair.



(He wore the one i circled but with the mask all the way up, covering his nose)

The line got smaller and smaller until they reached the front where a strange man stood.
"Welcome ninja, glad to see you her too Mr Smith." The man greeted.
We crossed the wooden plank and the ferrie finally set sail. Looking around in awe, we saw the different masters practicing their powers or just using them for intertainment. In the corner, I could see the boy from earlier. He was tall yet not as tall as me, musculer but not as buff as me. No one can beat these muscles. From what I could see, he was pretty cute. We make eye contact for a second and i could see his amber eyes before I turn back to my group slightly blushing.
"Oooooo...looks like someone has a crush, who is it?" Teased Jay, not knowing who I was looking at.
"No one so zip in motomouth" I snapped back. We continue discussing our plans waiting to reach our destination.

~No Ones POV~

The strange boy kept looking at the only girl in the group in confusion. Why did she look so familiar? The group noticed the boy 'eyeing' Nya and were all clearly frustrated about the perv of a man. Ray was getting particuarlly mad for someone eyeing his daughter as if she were a prize to be won, clearly not understanding that it wasn't what the stranger ment at all.

Finally the father had enough and decided to speak up. "Oi! Quit eyeing my daughter!"
The stranger just held his arms up insurrender but walked away anyway. As he walked away, he bumped into the master of metal, Karloff. "Watch it metal man..." said the boy. "Karloff was walking her first!"
"Well why not walk your sorry metal mittens over there so i don't have to listen to you" argued back the boy.
"This not mitten! These crush mask man!" Shouted Karloff, gaining the attention of the other masters.
"I would like to see you try" You couldn't see but you could tell he was smirking under the mask.

"Karloff no afraid of you!"

"You really don't think much at all do you?" Fired back the boy.

Karloff had enough and took him by the collar and lifted him up.

"You say Karloff no smart?"

"And has a head as hard as metal, don't think there is much brain power going on here."

The master of metal punched the man, sending him flying across the deck. The man quickly got back up and raced towards the other. Karloff smashed his fists together turning fully metal. Punches were thrown but the boy behind the mask just dodged them easily. After only a minute of dodging, he wasn't fast anough and was thrown into the wooden wall. He fell to the ground only to be punched high into the air again. Landing on the roof, he groaned in pain. Seeing the opponant jump after him, he rolled to the side, barely missing a smash, clearly ment for him. Man of metal threw another hard punch only to fall down the side after the masked man side stepped out the way.

Thinking he won, he jumped down back to the crown and started walking away. From around the corner, Karloff ran at him and they started to throw punches after punches again. Both dodged and kicked as if they were experts.

The stranger seemed to be winning and kicked him back into the wall again. Not stopping, he continued to punch him until he had pinned Karloff to the ground.

"Give up yet no brain?" he asked.
"Karloff let you win this time..." Karloff sighed in defeat as they both got up. The crowd cheered not including the ninja as Karloff callapsed again bruised from such powerful punches.

"Enough! We are here!" Shouted the strange man from earlier on.
Everyone leaned over the edge of the boat to get a view of the large green island they were approaching. In the centre was a large grand temple protected by many gaurds.

Trying to get a better look of the fine place, no one saw the tattoed man walk behind some crates and talk into a device. "There seems to be a man that shows no element but still seems strong enough here master...Mr Smith is here along with Garmadon too..."

Meanwhile, the ninja were all thinking about that could possibly be on the island that was so important.

"Oi! Watch it knuckle brain!"
They looked to see that Karloff and the man were bickering again. They roll their eyes and walk away to discuss their issues in peace.
