"Queen Taeyeon of Windoria sent me a letter, Joohyun. She proposed to engage you and her son," her mother, Queen Tiffany of Asteria said as Joohyun rolls her eyes in annoyance.

What's the point of marriage anyway? She can rule a kingdom without a king or a consort. She has been preparing to be a Queen all her life!

Not eating a single piece of food in the table, she looks at his father, King Siwon who just looks at her sternly. She would love to rebel at this point. She will not be getting married... not this time around.

She will be a queen. Ruling Asteria with herself is the only way she can prove to her mother and father that she is fit to rule and not the second choice.

Opening her mouth to talk, she was taken aback by the response of her father. "I may wish to have you as the heir, but your brother has the throne already. Suho-"

She cut him off, "Father. I was preparing to rule my whole life! I want to rule as the Queen. Suho is not here. Why are you expecting him to come back when he's traveling around the world for so many moons already? This is unfair!" she blurted out angrily making Jisoo, her little sister tremble. Her mother and father were just looking at her with exasperation.

Surely... Joohyun was a handful. Even at such a young age, she loves to rebel and not following orders. But she was trained to be a Queen and she'll have the title on her own. She sometimes go around the city and pretends to be a commoner, and sometimes not acting as a lady.

Standing up from the table, she was about to turn around when she heard her mother's voice. So... she approves of this proposal? For what? For politics?

Damn it!

"Joohyun. I was preparing you to be a queen, not just to rule a kingdom on your own, but for you to have a King. That boy... he's not from our world." her mother calmly said as she turned around and faced them.

Her eyes widened. So the Queen of Windoria... has a son from the other world? How... could this be?

"N-no... The rumor says that I know all my life is that he's been kept in their castle and he just turned up now-"

"No child, that's not true. Ser Baekhyun is the Prince Consort of Queen Taeyeon, right?" her mother asked her secretary who is standing at the door.

"Taemin?"

The secretary replied quickly, "Yes, Your Majesty. Ser Baekhyun is the Queen's Prince Consort."

Nodding, her mother looks at her once again. She was beyond... shocked.

What does he look like? What world is he coming from? Does... he knows they exist?

Hundreds of questions now appeared on Joohyun's mind as she didn't reply to her mother. Instead, she turned around and walked away from the dining room and quickly coming back to her bedroom. Now inside, she immediately came inside her library of books.

My mom is not keen on me marrying... something may have changed her mind and she approved... She thought as she scanned the books up and below. Looking for a certain book, she immediately saw it and put the book on a table as she sat on a chair while scanning the pages.
