With the lights dim, I turned on the lamp placed on the side table next to my brown sofa. My body rested against the sofa, with my hand bent, under my head. The smell of cheap cigarettes roamed around the room, and the air felt humid, which made it suffocating. The room was a mess, ramen cups, cigarettes, and beer cans were placed on the table in front of me. My eyes shut tightly, I groaned at the sound of water droplets hitting another, causing a clicking noise. I lifted my head and tilted it towards my left, to take a peek on what's causing this annoying noise. Plates, cups, chopsticks, and bowls were stacked up in the sink, displaying the fact that I haven't washed the dishes in about a week now.

"Bloody hell."

I gathered my hair up into a ponytail, and tied it with the black hairband cuffed around my left wrist

I gathered my hair up into a ponytail, and tied it with the black hairband cuffed around my left wrist. The fresh air finally met my moist neck from the humid air as I sat up and deeply inhaled. With my bare feet, I walked towards the light switch, then headed towards the window. The street lights in front of my one person house were flickering, and it was raining heavily. A bucket was placed on the ground, collecting the raindrops as it was overflowing.

"Damn it, I forgot bring it back in last friday."

I grabbed the window handle with my four fingers, and pulled it with all my might

I grabbed the window handle with my four fingers, and pulled it with all my might. Since I bought this place for a really cheap price, it wasn't really in the best shape. The excruciating sounds of cars screeching got louder, while the thunder was deafening.

"Fuck this place," I groaned.

I walked towards my kitchen pantry, and grabbed a black plastic bag. With that, I picked up the trash layed out on the floor and placed it inside the bag. After that, I gathered all the ramen cups, cigarette butts, and beer cans on all of the tables in my house, and threw it out, along with the bag. I rushed back inside, my hands crossed around my chest, shivering from the wet weather. I shook off all the water that fell on me and continued cleaning.

...

After two hours of organising, washing the dishes, vacumming the floor, cleaning the bathroom, my bedroom, and doing my bed, I finally sat on the sofa, with my back leaned against it. I took a deep breath, savouring the crisp breeze blown towards my face, a respite from the usual humid air. I slowly started to get drowsy, as my eyes begun closing. The rain had now stopped, along with the thunder.
