It'd been everything he'd ever desired for. Years and years of battling the teenagers multiple times, yet never succeeding, feeling humiliated at times when he'd realize his circumstance. He was getting beaten up by teenagers — people that were much younger than him. No matter how many villains he'd sent their way, they always managed to take them all down — until today.
He could see it all over the news now, people were stunned, just as they should be. All these times, they'd look down at him, cursed him, made fun of him. Now, who was on the top? And all it'd taken was for him to work extra harder. He'd, later on, acknowledged the error he proceeded to make without realizing it. All he was doing was sending out villains for Ladybug and Chat Noir to fight against, striving that hopefully, they would beat the two teens. This happened while he was in his lair, watching them fight, yet in his mind, he already knew how it was going to end once again. Though he tried to stay positive for himself, it was like his mind told him otherwise.
They're going to win. . . just as always.
So he'd decided to change things up. He managed to leave his mansion, but not for work this time. He wore a disguise so nobody would notice him, and he did this on the day when he knew Ladybug and Chat Noir had an interview together. Now, this is where it started going downhill for the two teenagers. The interview was held in a building where Nadia Chamach, Paris's most famous news reporter, worked. He'd waited — not for too long, because the interview ended shortly — and then he'd watched Ladybug and Chat Noir step out of the building. The two of them said goodbye to each other, before taking their own paths back towards where they lived.
He'd decided to follow Ladybug himself, so he'd quickly started the limo he was inside of — which was where he was waiting for them all those times — and chased after Ladybug. The bug flew fast with the help of her yo-yo, and it was difficult for him to catch up most of the time, but he always managed to see the spotted hero from far away, instantly recalling the directions she was taking and following as quickly as his limo could take him. It was then that he couldn't see the hero any longer, but in front of him where he'd parked, was the Dupain-Cheng bakery itself.
He hadn't been sure if his guess was correct, but he'd taken it anyway. He knew he was one of those people who was extremely hardworking, determined — those kinds of people who would try their hardest to get what they wanted, no matter whether it was going to hurt anyone else — so his next plan was to kidnap the Dupain-Cheng bakers, Tom and Sabine, which was what he'd precisely done.
The man let out a soft chuckle as he remembered declaring that he'd kidnapped them, and he could just see the aghast look on Ladybug's face, only for a second, because the spotted hero hadn't done a well enough job to hide her fear, yet caught on so quickly and replaced it with a more determined, but pissed off look. She was so done with everything that had been going on, everything that this villain had been doing to Paris to screw it up — obviously, she was so done with it all as not only did it make her life harder, but the pressure was put on her. Everyone was counting on her and Chat Noir to save the day once again, and it was like if they failed, they were all going to be disappointed. But this was her parents on the line, and she was going to try and give it her all.
