Chapter 27

Aria's pov
It's been three months since the last time I've talked to Riley I have been going to my Luna studies with Luna Madison but right after I'm done I go and see Ryder and Brooklyn. Then I go and see Corbin and Sam. I talk to them for a little while and then retreat to my room for the rest of the day. He comes to my door every day at the same time and try's to talk to me but I ignore him every time. Sometimes beta Ethan and delta Blake come in but I refuse to talk to anyone. Mia has been keeping me updated on alpha Alec and how he's been dealing with everything. She says he's very sorry but I don't buy it I tried to ask Luna Madison about Alec but she never answered any of my questions. There was a knock on the door that made me jump I groaned as I got up "who is it"I yelled out "it's alpha Alec"I went silent. "Come on my little pup come out I miss talking to you and Mia she won't even talk to me."He said sadly through the door. The submission mark faded as time went by since I stopped talking to him so that had no effect on me. After a little while of silence he huffed and I heard him walking away. I won't admit it but I miss him but I need him to realize that we are equals. Sometimes when I know he's out training I sneak into his room and just stand there and take in his scent. The door slammed shut and I walked over to my window to see him walking over to the field. He stopped suddenly and turned around and stared right at me he gave me a small smile I can see it in his eyes the guilt. It made me sad but he needed to know what I was feeling and it hasn't been long enough. Without a second glance I closed the curtain and walked back over to my bed. "Can we go for a run it's been a while" I heard Mia ask. "Yeah just let me tell Luna Madison" I answered her I felt happiness serge through which made me smile. "Luna Madison where are you"I asked through the link. "I'm in the kitchen dear what do you need" I heard her answer. "Mia wants to go for a run so I'm going to the meadow for a little while." "Ok dear stay safe you can only be out for an hour supper is gonna be ready then." "Ok I'll make sure I'll be back before supper starts." She cut the link and I ran towards the door and swung it open I ran down the hallway and out the door. People were staring at me as I continued running towards the woods. Once I got to the opening I shifted and let Mia take over.

Mia's pov
"Thank you" I told her before I took full control I howled as I stretch out my legs and started to run. A smile was plastered on my face as I ran I loved the feeling of the dirt under my paws as I reached the meadow. When I got to the middle of the meadow I laid down and let the sun beat down on me warming me up. As I sat there I looked at the autumn trees and how they were starting to change their leaves from green to yellow, orange and red. "Mia it's time to come back supper is ready" I heard Luna Madison say in my head. "Ok I'll be there in five minutes"I told her then cut the link off. Once I got back to the edge of the woods I shifted back and let Aria take control. "Thanks Aria your the best" I told her. "Your welcome" she giggled back.

Aria's pov
As I made my way inside I saw Riley walking back with other pack members once he saw me he stopped suddenly and stared at me. I kept on walking not even sparing him another glance. Once I made it to the kitchen I got my plate of food and started my way up to my room. "Aria dear why don't you eat with us today" I heard one of Luna Madison's friends say. The kitchen and dining room went silent as they waited for an answer. "I'm not really feeling good I'm just gonna eat in my room." And with that said I walked up to my room and shut the door locking it. When I was done eating I set the plate on the dresser and walked back over to the window. The sun was setting and the sky looked beautiful so I sat there the whole time watching it until the sky was finally dark. I sighed as I got up and went over to my bed I got underneath the covers and went to sleep.
