Two side's to every story

Arrival

Katy's POV

I can't believe this is actually happening, I'm leaving home, this is such a big step for me. What if I don't succeed in college? What if I run out of money? What happens if nothing goes to plan? You know what, I need to think postively from now on I mean I could meet the love of my life here, anything could happen.

Katy checked in her bags and went to the newsagents to pick some magazines to keep her entertained while she was on her fight. Once she did anything she needed to, she headed for her gate where her flight was going to leave in around 20 minutes. She sat there waiting ,not saying a single word, just twiddling her fingers; she had never been so nervous in her whole life.

"Can all passengers get out out there tickets and queue to board the flight." Instructed one of flight attendants.Katy handed over her ticket and they gave her permission to board. She got onto her plane and headed for her seat.

About half an hour passed before everyone was on board and they had spoken through all of the health and safety. and instructions on what to do if the worst happened. The plane started to reverse and headed for the runway. Katy's palms were sweating, the nerves were kicking in. The plane was finally ready to head down the runway. Katy could feel the speed increasing as the plane gained enough for it finally take off. She could feel the pressure in her chest, she found it hard to breathe, but she manged to stay calm. She muttered to herself under her breath "Here's to a fresh start, no turning back now."

As the hours slowly pasted, Katy stared out of her window at the view whilst listening to her music. She fell asleep for the rest of the flight until she felt someone tap her on her shoulder.

"Mam, we have landed in Australia, it's time to get off." Spoke the flight attendent.

"Oh right, thank you." Answered Katy.

Katy picked up her luggage and called over a taxi to take her to her appartment. It was around 10pm when she got home, she had to quickly unpack as she start's college tomorrow. After half an hour of rushing around puting everything away, she removed her makeup, undressed out of her clothes and into her pyjamas and texted her mum saying:

"I have arrived safely mum, I love you, speak to you tomorrow morning."

Her mum replied instantly.

"Good I was worried, glad you are safe. I love you too sweetheart."

Katy smiled, locked her phone, snuggled into bed, closed her eyes and feel into a deep sleep.
