I woke in the front room, still cuddling with Nya. She had also fallen asleep. I moved up from her lap and stretched. I noticed the others in the kitchen and realized they must have decided not to wake us up.

I then noticed Jay wasn't there with them.

No!! I ran upstairs and burst through the doors of our room, to see Jay on the floor, not moving. His stomach and chest were blood-soaked and his normally auburn hair had been stained red at the tips. "no..." I panicked. I shook Jay but he still didn't wake up. "NO!"

"What's the commotion?" Lloyd asked from the doorway. He noticed Jay.

"Uhh... He wasn't like that when I checked on him last night..." He stuttered. As if he was as shocked as I was. "Come to think of it, the last I saw him, he was still fighting Pythor, and just as he left, Jay told me to look out for you," He continued.

JAY

"RUN, KAI! I'LL HOLD HIM OFF!" I yelled to my boyfriend as he stared at me, leaning on the doorway with a scared look on his face. I was tightly gripping Pythor's staff, just to block the magic, and as soon as Kai left, Pythor flung me across the room. I quickly stood up and lunged at him again, but he blocked me again. Man, he was strong.

Me and Pythor battled it out in my room for a bit, then I saw him charge up his staff. Okay, that freaked me out.

"You will regret ever existing," Pythor told me as his staff glowed 'brighter than ever before' (har har After the Blackout reference). I gasped as I realized this was the same thing that happened to Kai, the same thing that erased his memory. Was this what was going to happen to me?

Pythor raised his staff, and it started shining. A blinding light that I could barely see-through. It was kinda scary. Then, as I was fighting through the blindness to try to get at Pythor, a staggering pain split my concentration. It was not only in my head, but my chest and arms, and my legs. My entire body was screaming out to just sit down, take a rest, turn off my brain, but I wouldn't allow it. That was what Pythor wanted. I kept standing, no matter what.

Then, my vision went blurry and everything that wasn't 2 inches away from me was just a blob of colour. All I saw was stars in the sky, and all I heard was ringing in my ears. I leaned on what I thought was the dresser, but my arms were too weak to hold me up. The last thing I remember (ouch) was a green blob (haha inside joke) grabbing a white blob's big purple stick and shining it at me before I fell to the floor.

LLOYD

I ran into Jay's room via Nya's orders and saw Jay and Pythor fighting. Jay looked weak, and Pythor was about to strike him again.

I hurriedly ran into the room and shouted, "Hey! Leave him alone!" When Pythor turned towards me I grabbed his staff from midair and pointed it at Jay. "How do I work this thing?" I wondered aloud, then it started glowing and Jay fell onto the floor. Pythor growled at me, snatched his stick back, and leapt out the window.

"You'll pay for this, Green Ninja!" I heard him shout. I went back over to Jay, he was still breathing. Good. I patted him on the head, made sure he was wearing his blanket and went back downstairs.

JAY

My head still hurt, but I could see and hear. It was the middle of the night, and all I could see was my bed which was a few inches away from my face. I felt the carpet underneath me and smelled the fermiliar scent of my boyfriend's sheet, and realized I was on the floor. As I sat up and looked to the corner, I could have sworn I saw something move. I shrugged and got back on the bed. I noticed the weight lift from my chest and saw the blanket on the floor. Where did that come from?

I stood up and got changed into jammies. When I got my shirt on and opened the door to go downstairs, I bumped into something. It was like there was some clear wall keeping me from walking out of my room. It then formed into view; it was Pythor. He quietly closed the door and trapped us in. Okay, that scared me more than a little.

"I told you, NEVER come between me and my boyfriend," I told him while backing to the corner. "You know how protective Kai can get."

"Yes, but will he be overprotective of someone he doesn't even know exists?" Pythor replied as he smirked.

"Wh- What do you mean??" I asked scared. I was practically falling onto the bed by now. He smiled more and I realized he had something more up his sleeve... Er, his... Arm.

He shined his stick at me again. My heart was beating so fast I was worried he could hear it and find out how scared I was.

"You're gonna erase my memory too, aren't you?" I asked him, trying my hardest- and failing- to hide the panic in my voice.

"Oh, no, I've got so much more than that..." He replied, "And you, unlike your boyfriend, might not wake up this time." I charged up my Lightning and got ready for battle. If I'm going down, I'm not going down without a fight. Meanwhile, Pythor charged up his staff.

He was too quick for me, though, and that bright light filled the room once more. It being the middle of the night, nobody else saw it or heard it, so I was helpless. The light slowly sapped my energy until I was nothing more than a blue-clad mess of flesh. My vision all of a sudden went black and I collapsed to the floor, unmoving.

KAI

"JJ..." I said, staring at the blue lump on the floor, curled up as if he was in pain. JJ is my nickname for him, that's what I called him when we were in a particularly lovey-dovey mood.

Was my nickname for him.

I slumped to the floor and cried. He's... Not breathing. He's dead. That was my thoughts all day.

At breakfast, I groggily ate my pancakes, not wanting to look up from my plate.

During training, I couldn't focus. I kept stopping and staring at the dummy, seeing Jay's face on it.

At dinner, I pushed my plate away and just sat, closed eyes and pursed lips, scared that if I spoke I'd start bawling.

I slept in the living room that night, afraid to go upstairs.

A few hours later, I heard someone coming downstairs. I looked up from my pillow and saw Nya. She said she was coming to check on me, as I had been down all day.

"I know it hurts, but the best thing to do is let it go," she said. I knew she was trying to comfort me, but of course, it didn't help.

"It's hard to let it go when your hands are glued to it," I replied. "He was my brother, my best friend, and now he's dead, and you expect me to just let it go? " I practically yelled this part. "You're sick."

Nya stood up, revealing a stuffed animal in her arm. She threw it at me as she walked away. "Well, I'm sad too, so don't get mad at me." She replied. "Just remember, Jay would want you to be happy, he'd want you to be laughing. Don't dwell too long on this." She said before leaving.

Daaaaamn!! I loved writing this :D
I hope you enjoyed it too! I was honestly hoping this would take less of a dark turn but hey, angst must angst, you can't really change it.

Writing is like rolling a barrel down a hill. All you have to do is give it a little push, and it's going by itself. Stories like this practically write themselves.

Anyway, I'm sorry if this made you sad. Wait- NO I'M NOT!!

bye lol
