𝗦 𝗔 𝗪 𝗬 𝗘 𝗥' 𝗦 𝗣 𝗢 𝗩

I LET OUT A SIGH and after a moment of holding myself back٫ I finally decide to let go of most of my worries and step on forth. I take one step forward and then another٫ until I start speedwalking my way to the school like an idiot because the bell already rung and-

Great٫ I'm late.

Just on the first damn day.

I stand outside of the school entrance٫ eyeing the door before me.

I would've been inside by now if it weren't for me having to stand here and try to figure out how to open this..this door? Is this even a door?

I make one of my final attempts to get inside and try pushing on the door. I would've tried pulling on it too but this thing had no handles attached to it. At this point٫ I wasn't sure if I'd make it to class in time٫ but I wasn't too concerned about that at the moment.

I just needed to open this door already.

I push on the door٫ leaning all my weight against it and smacking it a few times to see if anything worked. But the door still stayed as motionless as ever. I back away from the door to give it another try but a stranger gets in the way and blocks the door.

"Huh?"٫ I frown to myself. I take a few steps back and try to make my way around whoever was blocking me. After a few seconds٫ I hear a small click and the door...the door opens?! But all the person did was stand there.

"What the.."٫ I watch as the person steps in and the door almost closes behind them. "Hey!"٫ I reach my hand out and the stranger turns around to see me٫ and instantly pulls me inside before the door could close on me. I tumble into the stranger's arms and look behind me٫ watching the door close.

My mouth remains slightly open as I watch.

Jesus...almost got myself squished to death.

"Woah٫ hey. Are you alright?"٫ a voice asks me. I look up to see a guy looking down at me٫ and then I realize that I'm being held in some stranger's arms. I take a step back immediately and try to keep some distance between us. "What?"٫ I ask.

"I asked if you're alright. You know٫ you were going through the wrong entrance. Only students in the sports and arts department have access to this entrance٫ you were supposed to...٫" he trails off and I catch him looking at my chest.

I look down at my own chest right away and then figure that there might be something else he may be looking at. Oh right٫ the-

"Wait٫ I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you a...transfer? Are you a new student?"٫ he asks. I look at him in the eyes٫ yet for some reason٫ I can't bring myself to answer him.

First٫ I struggle to open a damn door and then I'm told that I wasn't even supposed to go through this entrance? Can things get any worse?

I shake away the thought and convince myself that maybe I'd look like less of an idiot if I told him the truth-that I'm a new student. It sounds like a good enough reason to be this clueless٫ so I might as well take this as an opportunity.

"Yeah٫ I'm new here٫" I say٫ just loud enough to be heard. He looks at me for a moment then nods slightly. "I see. Well٫ where are you supposed to be? Where's your class?"

What? Why are you asking me that? Like hell I'll know. "I have no idea honestly٫" is all I manage to say back. He looks around us for a few seconds then looks back at me. "Don't you have a schedule?"
