Marshall POV

----------------

It was dark and my face was covered by a brown bag. I didn't know where they were taking me but felt coldness splintering against my skin. "Where are you taking me." I asked. "You know." Dracon said. "The place where you were born." He removed the bag from my face as I tensed at those words. We were going to the castle. My mothers castle. "Why?" I said. "Because you and I have some business with your mother." I thought about what type of 'business' he was talking about. The one the that Dracon and my mom have in common is that they both want to destroy me. "Your going to extract my powers, aren't you?" I said. He didn't say another word. That was because we arrived at the castle, my mother waiting to greet us on the steps. "Hello my dear it's been awhile." She said. I couldn't find the strength to look at her so I stared at my shoes instead. "Bring him in Dracon and let's get to business." Dracon pulled me after him as we entered the dark castle. Once inside I was still being pulled by my arms as we turned right and took a whole flight of stairs. They took me to a dark room there hung a light right above a chair. Dracon forced me into the chair as my mother tied my arms so I wouldn't escape. She strolled over to a switch in the wall. "Don't worry sweet heart this will only hurt.....a lot!" She said. The switch was flipped and all I could feel were thousands of watts of electricity courting through my body. My heart raced a hundred beats per second. All of my muscles were tensed and all I could think of with the word 'remember'. Black spots started clouding my vision until all I could see was a blurry picture of Dracon smiling, I think. Then my entire body shut down dragging everything I had with it.

Marcy POV

-------------

That night I knew what I had to do. I snuck over to the building across from Crimson. I was at an angle on top of the roof to where I saw Carmon's window. Then I spotted Carmon pacing back and forth past her window. I watched her stop as Chase stood in front of her. He said something I didn't know what but I watched Carmon hug him as he hugged her back. It wasn't just any hug it was one that meant something. Carmon, Carmon crimson actually has feelings? I couldn't believe it. They released each other then Chase walked away. After that I climbed off the building and left for Avalon, the only place I felt safe. Once there I laid down on a soft bed of grass and listened to the crickets chirping until finally I doze off to sleep.

Marshall POV

-----------------

I woke up in a clear glass box. It was tall enough to stand up in. A bright light flashed on above me. I saw my mother and Dracon stand side by side staring at me. I felt vulnerable. "Glad to see you awake Marshall." My mother said. "But I think you should take a bath!" Then she laughed wildly. I looked down at my feet, my socks and shoes were gone. I looked back up at her and Dracon, confused. The liquid hit me before I even realized it. It was ice cold water filling the box fast. Within minutes it was past my knees. I pushed my back against the wall trying to bust through. No use. The water kept rising and I couldn't stop it. I was going to die here in a box which might as well be my casket. I was powerless and trapped. I was weak and helpless and my mother just stood there watching her only child die.

Some mom.

Chase POV

...................

I woke up and went to check on Carmon. I opened the door to her office. "Carmon I-" I stopped in my tracks. Her body laid limped on the floor, motionless. "Carmon!" I rushed over to her and tried to awaken her but I knew I couldn't. On her red dress there was a darker red streak which kept spreading. I let the tears fall. "Carmon please wake up please I need you please." I begged quietly. She didn't move. She was dead. I got open and examined the room for what could have killed her. The only thing I saw was part of an arrow. This wasn't a accident someone killed Carmon on purpose. But who? Well since there's an arrow piece I'll nickname the criminal the Archer. I left Carmon's office and went to my room slipped on a coat a went to visit Carmon's brother, Carson.

Marcy's POV

//////////////////

The next day I woke open I was greeted with an envelope which laid beside me. There was a red wax seal with a black letter D on it in fancy writing. Dracon. I picked it up and opened it. It read:

"Dear princess

If you ever want to see your precious friend again I suggest you come to the castle we might be 'drowning' in multiple situations here. Just say these words and you will be teleported here at the castle: Ella un castle de transport non hassle.

Sincerely yours,

Dracon"

I said the stupid set of words and poof just like that I was transported to a big black glooming looking castle.

Marshall POV

:::::::::::::::::::::::

The icy water was above me it filled the whole tank. I held my breath for as long as I could but I had to release. I couldn't do it. The last bit of oxygen I saved was gone and as my mouth opened slightly I felt water enter, choking me. I couldn't breath and I didn't care anymore. I could finally leave this place you call home cause this isn't my home. Home is where my family is and here I have none. As the water suffocates me I look up one more time but this time I didn't see a light or a ceiling I saw something more. The two people I've longed to see since forever, my dad and Maria. I didn't know of I was hallucinating or if it was real but I felt myself draw closer and closer to them. I was going home.

Marcy's POV

:::::::::::::::::::::

I rushed through the doors and climbed the stairs to see Dracon and some older lady. "Dracon where is-" I started but I found him. His body in a tank full of water, lifeless. "Looks like your too late princess I'm so sorry." Dracon said. "No I don't want your sympathy I want to make a deal." He looked at me alert and tempted. "You give me Marshall and I will come with you." I said. The lady spoke "why would we give away the most powerful vampire in the entire world for you, a little girl." I let silence hang in the air for a moment then spoke casually: "Because I'm more powerful than all of the vampire in the world. I'm a vex." "Prove it." the woman said and that's what stumped me.
