Starbucks and Math

--Michael's P.O.V.--

Shailene texted me saying she can't hangout for long she has to meet someone later so we're gonna have a short lesson and then meet at her house for dinner at 7. She has a huge house close to the school and a starbucks that kids from school usually meet in. 

That place was crawling with white girls. We didn't really go there.

When I told Calum that we were going tonight he got really confused and the first words he actually spoke were :"What should I wear?"  Me and luke just looked at each other. 

It was weird that he liked her. He usually likes girls like Megan Fox or Mila Kunis, perfect looking women but Shailene wasn't perfect, she was pretty but not hot, not perfect. I didn't think she was unattractive but she wasn't hot either. But nontheless he liked her and as a bro I had to help him get her. 

We played a few songs and the break was over. After school we all went to the park close to Luke's house because his was the closest to starbucks were I was meeting Shailene. We didn't play in public so we were just sitting there talking.

C- Guys, tell me the truth

M- Sure 

C- Do I have a chance with her like ever?

L- Why wouldn't you mate?

C- I mean she's never had a serious boyfriend before I don't think she would want me as her first.

M- Calum! You say you like her but you have never made a move, how do you expect her to date you when she doesn't know you like her?

C- I don't know Michael I'm afraid of getting shot down. Then what?

M- Then she doesn't deserve you man. You're gonna find your soulmate I promise.

He just looked at me and then back to the street where a lady was walking with her baby girl.

We had also invited Ashton without telling Shailene but I'm sure it'll be okay. He walked towards us from the other side and sat next to Luke.

C- Hey Ash.

A- Hi guys!

We all started looking around again in silence. Not noticing the enthusiasm and excitement in his face. "Why aren't you happy?" He yelled after a few seconds of silence. "Well we're obviously not as happy as you." Luke stated the obvious making me grin. 

"You haven't heard have you?" He finally concluded. "Heard what?" Calum turned around facing him. "How do I say this? Um... Oh wait..." He pulled out his phone from his back pocket showing us his twitter feed. "NO WAY!!" Luke shouted. Calum just opened his mouth in shock and I was just lost in a pile of excitement.

The screen showed a tweet by Louis Tomlinson from One Direction with a link to our youtube video.

"NO FUCKING WAY" Luke repeated over and over. "This is awesome." I said as I pulled them all in a huge group hug. Our views were becoming more and more. But I still had math with Shailene. I was so happy, that couldn't even bring me down. This was so cool.

--Shai's P.O.V.--

I was rushing to get to starbucks so I could meet Michael, I had to pick up a few things for dinner and I wouldn't get to do that after my tutoring session because I was meeting Celine and her friends, I was gonna be with them for probably a couple of hours which meant I had an hour to prepare for dinner. 

I was thinking about asking him to reschedule but I completely blanked and I didn't really wanna ruin his plans or anything. So I was shopping with my uniform and I really wished I could meet them in my own clothes because they're probably gonna be all dressed up.

Overthinking... I felt a panic attack coming, my shopping was over and I was walking to the starbucks which was a few blocks away. I started breathing and it slowly faded away. I was completely unaware of all my surroundings, I was getting close to starbucks so I calmed myself down and took 3 deep breaths, that was what I always did. 

I walked into starbucks and went to the counter and started talking: " Excuse me, Hi, can I leave my stuff here because I'm meeting someone and this stuff is just hard to have piled around me." The woman was over 30 and definitely nice because she accepted and kept my bags.

I also ordered a white chocolate mocha and got Michael a black coffe because I remembered him saying he liked it in a video. I grabbed the drinks and sat down at the table and sure enough there was Michael, he had the biggest smile on his face and he came towards me and sat down. 

He was wearing a flannel and skinny jeans. "Hi!" He was almost shouting. "You look real happy." I said giggling a bit. "Oh really? Ok." He smiled at me and it made me blush. He looked at his coffe and quickly remarked "How did you know I like black coffee?" I froze taking a sip of my drink. "Everyone likes black coffee it was a lucky guess." I blurted. "Okay" He nodded. 

"So math?" I started. He looked at me nodding a bit. "Okay so," I started shuffling through my bag to find my book, my hair was all over the place and I noticed he was looking at me concerned. I realised I had forgotten my math book so i groaned as I put head on the table.

"Shai you don't wanna be here. You're stressing out, who are you meeting?" I looked at him knowing I couldn't get out of this. " I have plans with your cousin and her friends." I said as I looked at him.

"My cousin? Celine?" He was shocked. "Yeah she was gonna introduce me to some of her friends and I'm gonna meet them here in 40 minutes." He nodded understandingly. "Forget math let me take you home so you can freshen up?" I looked up at him and nodded. "Thank you." I whispered. He just smiled and whispered "C'mon."

I got up and took my groceries from the nice lady and thanked her. Michael gave the groceries a look and smiled.

We walked to my house. We didn't really talk he just looked at me once in a while to see how I was doing. My hair was even worse and only two of my shirt buttons were closed. It was realy not a good sight. 

At my house I thanked Michael "Thanks for walking with me, you wanna come in for some tea or something?" I said in an exhausted tone. "You don't have time for tea as of right now you have 30 minutes to get ready and you need every second." He said eyeing me up and down. I rolled my eyes but I was smiling "See you tonight" I blurted.
