Too Young(BBB x Demon Slayer oneshot)

Taking a break from art cuz I feel absolutely horrible and stressed so I'm gonna focus on writing instead

Yes this is a Demon Slayer and Boboiboy crossover

Idk I just saw someone on DA draw Ying if she was a demon slayer a few months ago so I'm like "I should try that"

So yeah, this is probably gonna be short just to try out this idea

Enjoy or somethin idk anymore...

The night was warm in a large and dense forest, tree leaves only allowing a minimal amount of moolight to penetrate to the undergrowth.

The leaves rustled as a figure swiftfully makes it way through the branches, jumping and running as he went. Another figure ran on the ground just below with dried leaves moving in the wind as he passed.

The one in the trees looks down their companion below. "Cahaya-kun, are we getting close?" He said with a smile, never missing a step.

The other, Cahaya, didn't look up in turn, but added a small smile to his serious expression. "I told you to stop calling me that, Daun. Cahaya is fine." He wasn't at all irritated at this, even if it seemed like this has happened plently of times before. "But other than that, yes, I think it should be somewhere around this area."

Daun, the one in the trees, nods with a "mhm!" before looking back ahead.

A few hours earlier, the pair recieved orders to slay the numerous demons inhabiting the forest who have been terrorizing the nearby village. They weren't told exactly how many there were, but they were informed that most are reletively weak and should be quick work. Well Demon Slayer Corps didn't lie, almost all the demons so far only took a few slashes to take down, with only a few of them taking longer to kill. It does seem that the demons are more on their guard as the night goes on, some even ambushing them. It's probably because the word that two Demon Slayers are in their forest and are quickly massacring them is spreading like wildfire.

"There!" Cahaya calls out to Daun as a demon crosses their line of sight.

The slayer in the green haori leaps from above as the demon quickly turns around only to have their neck severed instantly. Daun turns to look at the now disintegrating body to learn that the demon was just a little girl. Yes he's heard and even seen a few demons that can alter what age they look like, but looking at her shocked and horrified face as she dissolved into the air makes him feel a small pang of guilt.

"Daun, what are you doing? We have to keep going." Cahaya says as he cocks his head towards the direction they were running towards. The other looks at him with a seemingly blank expression, but the slayer in the white and gold haori can see the small grimace in it and his expression softens. "You're upset?"

"Mhm.." Daun says quietly while slowly nodding, his usual smile gone. "I was just... thinking about what Angin said last... last time we had to kill a younger demon. Too young to be subjected to such a fate." He, of course, was talking about becoming a demon and having to be slain as a result. "They could've grown up happy and normal with their parents but instead they're always starving and having to live in fear and eat humans."

Cahaya wasn't mad at him for wasting valuable time, in fact he rarely gets mad or irritated at the younger slayer, as he's basically a kid in a 15 year old body. Daun has proved himself a number of times that he's argueably the least intelligent and competent of their group. However he's improving for the best and still shows that he can think for himself as well as question the morality of things. The boy still has alot of learn but Cahaya is proud of his progress regardless.

The older slayer looks at the remains. By now, all that's left of the demon is their clothes; simple thin garments just to provide some protection and covering. He looks back at Daun and tries to put that small smile back on his face. "I understand, indeed it is terrible, they never asked for this and its cruel for us to just end them. But think about it this way, at least we're ending their suffering, right?" Cahaya knows there are holes in this logic, lots of them, but he just wants to comfort Daun in some way.

The younger slayer only replies by nodding.

"Besides, we have to continue our mission, this demon isn't the one I sensed."

There was a long pause between the two before Daun buts his smile back on his face. "Right! Let's find this guy before someone else claims our prize."

Cahaya's own face brightens up at this. "There we go, now let's get going." He says as he turns around and starts sprinting again. Daun leaps back onto the branches to follow his friend from above.

I originally was gonna end this after Daun and Cahaya slay a stronger demon, but this is a good place to end
Maybe I'll make a part two? Idk

Also I have like a few notes about this

First, about their ages, I like to imagine that during this oneshot, Daun is 15 and Cahaya is a few months older, nearly 16

And second, idk if I implied that they're Pillars, but I'd like to clarify that I imagine that while the 2 aren't Pillars, they're definately not low in the ranks
I don't really know how the ranking system works and how easy or difficult it is to get to the next rank but I guess they'd be around Tsuchinoe or Hinoto

Again, idk, this was just a random thing I made to stray a bit from art

Speaking of which, I am still working on an NSR oneshot I started as a vent a few days ago. I'm feeling better now but I'm still gonna try finishing it

Also idk why but Imma mention my friend StarTwinklePrecure who is writing a BNHA x BBB book which I love but is taking a while to update due to all her schoolwork

Okay I admit, I just want someone to read my oneshots. I can spend days on each and when no one reads them, you're gonna be pretty crappy too
