Breath of Vine(BBB x Demon Slayer art+headcanon)

Aka Daun having his own Zenitsu moment-

This took me over 12 hours

Also oh wow this was originally just gonna be a quick and lazy piece I wanted to make after listening to Gurenge for the umpteenth time(which is why the lineart is shit-), but yeah, it instead became a flex for my lighting skills--(jk lol-)

Or I guess this is kinda concept art, since this is the first time I drew slayer Daun and his breathing style(looking at it now, I think I may change the way it looks)

The deatails on the leaves and vines were actually added quite late into the process)

Also also I'm not the best at perspective, but I use fish-eye lens to componsate for that, so this was quite fun to do

Tho the amount of layers I had..

I have no idea how I managed to perfectly keep track of all of them, even the ones without names

Eh whatever, I've reached 80 layers before

Alsp wow I can't believe I'm getting better at drawing with a finger-

But enough about the pic, lets get into the AU

Headcanon starts here

Yes, I do call this breathing style Vine Breathing, though Leaf Breathing isn't a too bad of a name either...

I like to imagine that this style of breathing is personally made by Daun when style he was learning at the time didn't seem to suit him, so he adjusted it(with some help from Cahaya) to his liking until he came with Vine Breathing... or Leaf... idk whatever you want

That style itself is branched out from either Water or (if it still exists in this AU) Flower(meaning its one of these 2 styles that Daun attempted to learn)

Currently, Daun has only created 4 forms, 1 of which is defensive.

Since he isn't as strong or agile as the others(but not weak enough to be inable to decapitate demons, and he's definately not the slowest of the 7), the style compensates by increasing his range. One attack even involves throwing his weapon then quickly retrieving it to deliver a powerful blow.

And thats currently all I have for now lol

I read a few of the breathing styles and also Daun's power set from their respective wikis. I decided that his breathing style revolves around range is because, according to the wiki, his attack, speed, and agility is only 2/5, though I take this with a small grain of salt since it also says that his defense is 5/5(I actually imagine it being 4/5..)

And about his design in this AU

The current draft is that he has short brown hair and brownish-green eyes. He wears a dark yellow version of the Demon Slayer Corps uniform under a bright green haori with dark emerald green triangle patterns along hem and cuffs(which are meant to resemble his emblem and the thorn patterns on Duri's outfit in the wnd movie. Also originally they were white)

You know just have the flat colors(tho the vines have some 'shading')

I just wanted to practice my descriptions lol

But yeah... I don't have much else to say

I do actually have some headcanons for Tanah's breathing style, Earth, but thats for another time
