Word Count: 1908A few weeks of therapy sessions and quality time with Bucky passed. I was allowed to go back to my apartment, and Bucky essentially moved back in, but it was never said or agreed on. He'd always just end up staying.
After the football game was over the one Sunday night, the others went back to the tower. I saw Bucky grab a hold of Alpine and give him a hug before kissing his head.
"Are you leaving too?" I asked, putting the snacks away.
"Yeah," he said, trailing off. "Unless you want me to stay," he said, setting Alpine down. I grabbed my phone.
"No," I said, lying. "I'll let you go back to the tower," I said, watching him put his coat on.
He put his shoes on while I started playing a Mariah Carey song. He looked over at me and laughed when I started dancing around. I picked up Alpine and started singing loudly. I watched him take his shoes and coat off.
"Jesus, doll, you know how to make me stay," he said, laughing as he walked over to me. I set Alpine down and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Don't do the high note this time. Please," he said, laughing.
"I'm going to do it," I said right before I tried to do it, but failed miserably. He let out a loud laugh and I smiled up at him innocently.
"You're amazing at not being able to hit that note."
"You're so mean," I said, laughing. "I hit it that time!"
"You let out a small squeak. You did not hit it," he said, shaking his head.
"Just shush and dance with me, Sarge," I said, smiling up at him.
"What about—"
I cut him off by kissing him roughly. I bit his lip as I pulled away from him. "It's getting late," I said, laughing. "I'm going to sleep in my bed. You're going to sleep in your bed, here. And then in the morning, we'll see what happens."
"Why did we go back to how it used to be? And why am I perfectly fine with it?"
"You are?" I asked, pulling away from him completely.
"Of course," he said, letting go of my body. I shut the music off and leaned up to give him a kiss.
"Thank you for your patience," I said before walking down the hallway alone. "Can you get the lights, please?" I asked, giving him a sweet smile from the end of the hallway. "Leave the hall light on though."
"I always do, doll," he said, laughing.
I'm not particularly fond of waking up from a nightmare to the sounds of yelling, but it always happens when Bucky stays over. I'm just happy to be able to help him again. I turned the light on in his room and shook him awake before stepping away from the bed.
"Good morning," I said, watching him calm down. He set his head back on the pillow and groaned. I made my way to him and put myself in between him and his right arm.
"You're going to fall off the bed on that side," he said as I closed my eyes. I heard his metal arm move before I felt him move some hair out of my face.
"I don't care. I'm not moving," I said quietly, trying to relax my head into his chest.
"What was yours about?" He asked, setting his left hand over my right one.
"I didn't have one tonight," I lied, not wanting to talk about it.
"That's great," he said, running his thumb over the back of my hand.
