Noya walked down the hall with his head down, people waved but he just ignored it. For months, people told him to keep his head held high. How could he possibly do that, it felt like he was drowning but this time there was no one there to help him. Of course he knew that he could talk to Asahi about anything, but he didn't want to feel the burden of making him worry. As his tall, dark haired boyfriend approached he lifted up his head and put on the best smile he could.
"ASAHI!!", he said forcing a sound of excitement to escape his mouth. He knew if he even hesitated once, his boyfriend would notice something was up. So to keep him from noticing, he did what he did best smile and pretend. At least enough to keep his loving boyfriend from worrying in the slightest.
Asahi: "It's almost time for lunch so we should get going."
He didn't want to eat, he just wanted to go home and get away. However, knowing he would get suspicious he nodded his head and threw up a peace sign. "YEAH!"
After Lunch
"Final class of the day" he thought as he sighed in relief. He sat there and spaced out, feeling trapped by his thoughts he shut everyone out and put his head down. He was growing inpatient eager to finally get out of that hell and go home, but he knew he had practice that day. If he didn't go everyone would start worrying, so he had to hurry and think of an excuse with the last 15 minutes of class he had left.
"Think..THINK" he thought to himself angrily, unsure of an excuse he decided to just let them worry and think of an excuse for the next day. He wasn't in the mood to speak or hang out with anyone. He just wanted to be alone, isolated with himself and his thoughts.
After School
Shortly after walking home from school he finally arrived at home, he went upstairs and locked his door. "Finally" he said to himself quietly. He ploped down onto the bed and laid there. The darkness surrounded like a heavy cloak nearly suffocating him. *Ding* He picked up his phone and looked at the text message.
From: Asahi 1:00 PM
"Hey Noya you aren't coming to practice? Are you okay?"
He sighed and shut his phone down, he didn't feel like texting him or anyone for that matter. He knew he'd have to deal with it the next day but didn't care. The only thing he could do now is think of a way to break up with him before the end of the week. When he died he didn't want him to dwell or grieve so he'd have to shut him out his life completely along with the rest of his friends. He knew it would hurt, but it was the only way to protect them from what was coming.
