Shortly after his death
Noya woke up seeing a bright light. Where...was I? Am I dead? Wh-...before he could finish that thought he heard a voice almost like a sob. Someone was....crying. "We're sorry we weren't there for you Nishinoya". With those words he stood there shocked tearing up. Those words alone pierced through his heart. "They cared...." Nishinoya ran toward the light crying. He wasn't ready to face the afterlife, even though he thought he was. He thought it was the only way out and forgot that he had a whole team around him that would have supported him. Those were his friends, his teammates, and it took him dying to make him realize it.
"ONE MORE CHANCE! ALL I WANT IS TO MAKE CLOSURE WITH THEM AND I'LL COME BACK PLEASE!" he pleaded rushing into the bright light, and with that everything went black and there was nothing. He then woke up in the middle of the road with a pounding headache. "Am I back..?" he said aloud. Suddenly a car came rushing towards him. "WAIT!" he said getting ready for the moment of impact, the car suddenly passed straight through him.
"WHAT.
THE.
FUCK!?"
"Am I a ghost?" he looked at his transparent body to confirm it. "Im a ghost..." those words repeated in his mind over and over. "How am I supposed to communicate with them if Im a damn ghost?!". He cried out in frustration, suddenly he heard a voice. "Tomorrow is the practice game. Do you think we should cancel Daichi?" He knew that voice from anywhere . "ASAHI!" he cried happily running towards him to hug him. As he went in for a hug he passed straight through him. Suddenly his smile disappeared. "I..I cant even hug him...". Asahi stopped walking and looked around. "Hey Daichi did it get cold or what?" he shrugged it off and continued walking with Daichi. Noya walked next to the both of them smiling. "I know you guys can't hear me, or see me. But I'm here...not forever, but long enough to make my amends. Were in this...together."
