My stomach lunged at the thought of it.

Cedric had been closer to me since that day at the dinner hall. Every time between lessons, he would walk with me, talking about all sorts of random things. Over the span of our friendship, I had realised he was very talkative.

'-And the guy just fell off. It was not a pretty sight.' He exclaimed, bawling over with laughter. I giggled at this, smiling as I passed my class door.

'I have to go now,' I cocked my head towards the entrance, 'Potions.'

He gave a sweet grin,
'Ah, I have Herbology. See you, Domitilla.' He said, before walking down the hall, turning to the left.

As I stepped in past the door, a sudden wave of strong, familiar smells slapped right across my face. I crinkled my nose up, trying to adjust to the aroma.
There was something familiar about the scent. A mint of some sort. Peppermint. And what was that fruity taste? Apples? Green apples, if we were to be specific. It also seemed like Draco overloaded with the cologne today.

As I finally recovered, I walked over and took my seat next to the blonde boy.

'Morning, Peyton.' he grinned a side smirk.

I ignored the greeting, and leaned in slightly to smell him, trying to see how much exactly he had put on. He didn't notice, as he seemed to be sniffing too.

'God, Malfoy. You don't need that much perfume.' I snickered.

He raised an eyebrow at me in confusion.

'You're one to talk. I can smell your gross vanilla shampoo all the way from here.'

It was my turn for my eyebrows to raise up.

We were both cut off by Slughorn's voice.

'Good morning. Today's subject will be on something a bit more advanced for you lot. I am aware you all are slightly shocked by this sudden odour you can smell inside this classroom.'

I looked around, and surprisingly, everyone else was sticking their noses up in the room as well, smelling around.
The professor continued,

'Now, it will smell different for everyone. This potion right here,' he gestured at a small glass bottle, sitting on his wooden desk. My eyes widened in curiosity at the spiral waves of smoke wafting out of the potion. The liquid was such a beautiful, pearly sheen and as we all leaned our heads closer, the scent became so strong, it slightly stung my nostrils.

'This here, is called Amortentia. Can anybody explain what that is?'

Hermione was quick to shoot up her hand.
'Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in the existence of the wizarding world. The scent itself, is different for everyone, as it smells of the things that attract them the most.'

My head spun.
I gaped so wide, my jaw was practically on the floor. I could hear others gasping and whispering to eachother as they recovered from what Hermione had just said.
My cheeks were burning.
Did I just smell-
No.
No way.
No way in hell.
I just smelled Draco Malfoy.
And he smelled
me.
I felt nauseous at that point. My feet were so unsteady, as if the ground just turned into water and my whole body was going to give way any second. Was I about to faint? Oh God, please just let me faint right now.
What just happened? I couldn't have smelled him. I barely tolerated him. How on bloody earth could I be attracted-
