Getting off the phone with your local pizzeria, you sigh and turn the corner to your house. You should start cooking, it would be cheaper but all this job hunting and keeping up with house left you exhausted. You feel like you have no time for anything anymore.

However as you turn the corner, bickering voices come into your hearing. Curiously, you walk faster, head already ahead of you and eyebrows furrowed, frowning. As far as you knew, your family would never visit and you didn't have much of a relationship with your neighbours. Could it be the landlord?

But what you saw was entirely unexpected. You freeze suddenly in your tracks when you catch sight of them. Two men sitting on the doorstep talking incessantly among themselves. They wore the same white collar shirts over their exquisite, exotic suits and were turned towards each other, evidently arguing. However, it wasn't the fact that they existed but more the fact that they were sitting outside your house that bothered you.

You had never seen them before.

As you approach, mouth dropping open as you search for something to say you catch on to their conversation.

"Why the fuck are we waiting let's just go inside," one of them says. He looked more bad-tempered between the two, almost like a stubborn, impatient child.

"That trespassing," the other one responds, his voice more silky and patient. "We'll wait for her to open the door, when she comes."

"I could break that door in a minute. Why does she bother even keeping it closed, pft."

"It's a good thing she locks her door before she leaves."

"Ugh, good things."

"Uhm," you find yourself blurting out loud as you stand right above them. They jump and startle, blind to your presence and look up slowly from your feet to your face, eyes widening as they do so. Both immediately scramble to their feet, the more seemingly polite one immediately brushing down his suit carefully.

An almost awkward silence passes as you take in the two men and they look at you, however the expressions on your faces greatly differed. Whereas yours resembled one of confusion, doubt, and bewilderment theirs was of awe, disorientation and something that made it look as if they knew who you were. Similar to the type of face that you'd make if you caught a glimpse of a celebrity on the road.

"I'm sorry but..." you begin, growing even more confused. "Can I help you?"

"Yeah you can," the more impolite one responds immediately, jerking his head towards the door. "By opening the door."

"What?" you reply, promptly, a little taken aback by his comment. His comrade beside him laughs nervously, throwing his arm over his shoulder and giving you an apologetic look.

"Aha, I think what he meant was that it's would be better if we go inside first. If that's okay with you, of course. We mean no harm."

Despite the comfort of his words, it only made you more suspicious. They were the sort of paroles one would hear from a murderer or a thief and if this was an act it was a terrible one. The other man seemed to be more trustworthy, since he spoke exactly what he felt.

Either way, you eye them warily. You weren't about to let these strangers into your house for no reason.

"Here," the second man raises his arms, guessing to some extent your suspicions. "You can check me." He gestures down his entire body, offering it up for inspection.

"Yeah," the first one replies, doing the same immediately. With a light grin he adds, "I can strip for you too if you want."

That earns a warning glare from his friend and an even more unwilling response from you. You look from one to the other, torn as to what to do with them and a little frightened as you couldn't predict their behaviour. They were definitely a very odd couple.
