The panic I should be feeling evaporated as soon as I became aware of it. It was an unnerving sensation to say the least.

"Godric?" I asked into the darkness.

"Yes. And you are Alexandra" he had an accent, sounding somewhat Germanic. While I was calm, my brain was still somewhat addled by my throbbing head and the not insignificant pain I was in. His recognition adding to my existing confusion.

"I'm... I'm sorry. How do you know me?"

"You are Eric's. He has spoken of you"

That was a shocking thought. That Eric actually spoke about me? What would he even... stop it Alex. "I'm... well.... Fine" I had much more important things to think about. Like not passing out and getting out of here "I don't suppose you could help me up?"

I heard him move and the manacles around my wrists were suddenly dust falling on my head and shoulders. I felt gentle hands at my elbows and used them to take my weight as I slowly stood, not trusting my legs immediately. Indeed, there was sharp pain from my hip as I straightened up and I hissed at it. Hopefully I wasn't bleeding too much.

"Thanks" I said breathlessly "is my friend with us? We were together" I couldn't help but look around me even though it was completely futile.

"She is not here."

"Do you know where she is?"

"She is with Gabe."

Apparently you could still feel a cold shiver of dread even when you've been glamoured to be calm. Gabe; the one who preferred blondes. "Please. You have to let me out." I took a step forward but bumped into him. "He hurt us. He'll hurt her."

I wanted to be able to see his face, look into his eyes and plead with him, but all I could do was squeeze his arms weakly. It seemed that was enough though, as he gently extricated himself from my grasp and sped out of the room. Squinting while my eyes adjusted, I limped towards the light of the open door.

I steadied myself on the door frame as I heard a sickening thud and waited; listening for something, anything.

"Godric?"

I'd never been more happy to hear Sookie's southern drawl. Godric and Sookie were soon in front of me, and Sookie and I clung to each other. She was shaking, and it was completely understandable.

"Are you OK?" Sookie asked "you're kinda..."

"Calm. Godric glamoured me." I explained pulling away and looking at her in earnest. She had a nasty bruise on her face, and her dress was torn open exposing her bra "Are you OK? Here, wear this." I took off my cardigan for Sookie to wear to cover up. Without the long sleeves, my arms were exposed, and I saw the scuffs and darkening bruising on my upper arms. I was going to hurt later - if we got out of here.

Probably reading my mind, Sookie grumbled "I can not believe Bill isn't here. He's never left me like this."

I frowned at that. Of course Bill should be here. Sookie was attacked, and almost raped. Bill must have felt that. Eric too... except... I turned to look at Godric as I realised his glamour meant Eric would not feel my distress.

"Godric, Eric sent us to find you and get you out of here. We need to go."

"Eric should not have sent you" he said quietly. His dark blue eyes seemed almost sad. I was slightly taken aback that a vampire of such importance was so small in stature, and so young looking. He must have been in his teens when he was turned. He was not the monster vampire I had imaged. "You should go. I will remain"
