"What did the cheese say to the spaghetti?" Cara had a hopeful smile on her face. She was known for making these lame jokes. Looking around the table her eyes flitted from one person to the other. Andre shook his head at her but the huge grin on his face wasn't gone unnoticed. Drew had his head buried in his hands. Jackson was playing with locks of her hair and Christian looked downright disgusted by his sister's stupidity.

Upon receiving silence as her answer she spoke, "I'm gonna touch you. Do I have your parmesan?"

Andre barked out a laugh and even Jackson's lips tugged upwards. Christian couldn't help crack a grin and Drew just scarfed down his ravioli.

They were out eating dinner at the newly opened Italian restaurant, ten minutes away from campus. It was a fancy restaurant and they had all dressed up. Their other friends couldn't join due to pending assignments and overdue homework.

Cara was wearing her favourite dress from the shopping spree she went on a week ago, it was a bodycon navy blue halter neck which reached mid thigh. The material had a sparkly silver tint which made it glimmer on her pale smooth skin. She paired it up with black stilettos. Christian looked dapper in his black slacks and a white button up. Andre wore plaid grey pants and a dark blue shirt, he looked like something right out of the Vogue magazine. Drew was clad in dark blue denim washed jeans and a baby blue shirt with the top two buttons undone and Jackson, the fashion icon and someone who's always dressed to impress, was wearing black slacks, white button up and a black blazer.

They felt extremely overdressed leaving the academy but seeing the other patrons in the restaurant put their mind at ease, it was after all, for the rich. It wasn't often that the group dressed up on their own free will. Getting forced to go to the elite parties by their equally elite parents made them weary of the whole ordeal but when a night like this came along, they happily indulged themselves.

"I'm sorry I'm late, I got caught up in the library." A deep, husky voice which Cara recognised as her roommate's interrupted their idle chatter. She looked up from her plate of spaghetti, his hair was messily clad on his head and his eyes were warm and welcoming. That's a first, she thought. He wore grey slacks and a black button up. She had come to loathe the guy but couldn't deny that he had incredibly gifted genes. He seated himself in the only empty space on the table, right opposite Cara.

Cara wasn't rude, she was actually one of the sweetest and most inviting people out there but she was weary of any conversation that would take place between the two of them. The boys greeted him with smiles and handshakes. She sent him a small smile and busied herself with Jackson, who was seated on her right.

"How is therapy going?" She whispered.

Jackson had a sour expression on his face, "Mr. Know-it-all thinks that I need to try and socialize more."

She ruffled his head playfully, "You do what makes you feel comfortable, yeah? But also don't forget that he's educated and has experience in this sort of a thing, maybe following his advice will help you."

Jackson nodded his head and resumed playing with her hair. She involuntarily looked in front of her and her eyes locked with Jayden. She was surprised to see him smiling at her.

"Hi Cara." He said.

Even though he addressed her, used her name, she couldn't help but look around to make sure no other Cara had materialized from thin air. "Hi Jayden. I didn't know you were coming, I wouldn't have come if I knew."

Everyone was busy in their own conversation to pay any attention to them. Jayden frowned at her words. "You got a problem with me or something?"

Cara snorted, "I'm not sure if you've noticed but you're the one with the problem buddy. You literally kicked me out of the room today."
