~Yui x Kate~ (2) (Fluff!)

A/N: Hey, here's another Yui x Kate request! This one's a fluff, and it'll be nice for me to take a break, since lately I've only really been making really smutty things.

Kate and Yui were sitting by the campfire, next to one another. Kate felt her heart racing from nerves as she looked up at Yui shyly, watching the golden flame dance across her golden complexion, complimenting her tone. Yui turned her fiery hazel gaze down to Kate, and whenever she met her icy blue eyes, she blushed a bit, laughing softly as Kate flustered from being caught. "Y'know, you're allowed to look at me... We're dating, silly..." Yui said softly, cupping Kate's face as the smaller girl looked up at her with pure softness and adoration. "Y-You're so p-pretty..." Kate stammered softly, making Yui blush softly as she looked down at her partner.

The two found themselves lost in each other's passionate, loving expressions before Yui broke their silence, moving forward to gently kiss Kate. Kate smiled gently against Yui's lips, giggling softly as she held the kiss for a bit, glad to be close to Yui. She gently wrapped her arms around her waist, settling her hands to clasp around Yui's muscular build. The two pulled away panting and giggling nervously. "Can you believe it's already been a year?" Yui asked softly, laughing from pure happiness. "It's gone by so quickly... You've turned this eternal hellscape into a lost man's paradise..." She muttered softly, getting poetic as she looked into Kate's eyes.

Kate found herself blushing deeper, turning her face to kiss Yui's palm as she cupped her face. Yui smiled softly, and moved her arms to wrap around Kate protectively, laying down with her on the ground. The dirt was cold, but neither of them seemed to mind, too wrapped up in one another to care about anything else. They didn't care about the entity's raging, clutching tentacles and claws. They didn't care about the hatchets, chainsaws, mallets, swords, guns, powers used against them... They couldn't. Not now.

Their minds had no room to wander as they tangled around eachother further, closest to eachother's hearts as they could be. Kate buried her face in Yui's chest, and Yui wrapped her arms around Kate's neck, holding her there protectively and lovingly. The two fell asleep like this, ignorant to the world shifting and churning around them.

Everything was quiet for these moments.

No screams, no crying, no revving of a chainsaw from behind them.

No blood, no fighting, no humming coming from behind them.

Just peace and love, radiating from the two lost souls that hadn't found their way out, but had found eachother and doubled their strength.

Two lost souls that were lost... But were lost together.

And in their eyes, the other's company seemed to dull the pain of uncertainty, and fill the emptiness.
