CHAPTER 5

THE REST OF THE CHAPTERS WILL BE THRID PERSON :))

TIME SKIP MONDAY (DEATH AND BLOOD WILL BE IN THIS PROBABLY)

Eren and Mikasa had become very close and he was becoming more open with her. Although she did most of the talking and he was still quiet as ever. But he responded to her and talked to her as a friend.

"So basically that was it and she left him. How crazy is that!" Mikasa exclaimed packing her things.

"Pretty crazy." Eren responded waiting for her. They were on the same school bus and that was their source of transportation since Mikasa decided she didn't like walking anymore. The bus wasn't bad at all. If they sat in the front there was all weirdos and creepy kids. But in the back was empty and silent perfect for Eren and Mikasa to just chat and have fun. Sometimes they fell asleep and sometimes they just chatted away. And other times they listened to music with Eren's earbuds. But today the bus driver didn't look so good he looked pale and sounded like he had trouble breathing. They shrugged it off and went to the back. They chatted and eventually resulted to listening to music. Mikasa was leaning on Eren's shoulder singing along quietly and Eren was looking at the window. They had their seatbelts on and everything don't worry. (and yes its crazy but the bus they are on actually has seatbelts lol). Mikasa and Eren were alerted when the bus driver started coughing suddenly. He kept coughing over and over and over. Mikasa and Eren and looked each other confused. Then their eyes widened as they saw the bus driver go limp as his hands fell off the steering wheel and started shaking. He was having a seizure. And its ironic because they happened to be on bridge over water. The bus started shaking and hitting stuff. Glass was breaking and the outside of the bus was folding in. Mikasa grabbed Erens arm and held it tight because she was nervous. Eren was just in shock and didn't know what to do. The students in front were crying and weren't doing anything at all either. Mikasa let out a yelp and the bus flipped over and she hit her head knocking her out. The other kids were also getting injured. Eren also got knocked out. Glass flew everywhere cutting faces arms and the students were being shaken around getting bruises. Eventually the bus skidded off and started sinking in the water. The water was rising. Some kids in-front were stuck in seatbelts and eventually would just drown. Eren stirred awake as he felt something leaning on him as his head was leaning against a window. He looked at what was weighing him down. It was Mikasa. Mikasa was unconscious with a gash on her the right side of her forehead with blood coming out and another smallish cut on her left side cheek. Eren had basically the same he just wasn't bleeding as much as she was.

"Mikasa." He said as he grabbed her and started shaking her. No response. He checked her face and saw she was breathing. Thank god. "Mikasa!" He said a little louder ignoring the cries of the students in front who were scared of drowning. Mikasa stirred awake winced as she felt the pain in her forehead.

"E-eren..?" Mikasa looked at him.

"Thank god." He hugged her.

Mikasa turned her head and saw the dead bus driver and kids screaming. "Whats happening?"

"We slid off the road and were in water. If we don't get our we'll drown. Good thing we were at the back of the bus." Eren said as Mikasa nodded. They unbuckled their seatbelts and looked for a way out. They saw a small door next to the back seats that said "EMERGENCY EXIT ONLY". Eren tried opening it but panicked when he felt water on his legs.

"Eren!" Mikasa shouted.

"Hold on! Im trying!" Eren said but he couldn't open the door. He was getting more frantic as the water was rising higher and higher. Mikasa was shorter than him so if he didn't get this open she would go under. It eventually reached their chest and Mikasa was struggling. By the time it reached Eren's shoulders it was at Mikasa's neck almost at her chin. The water pressure wasn't helping at all to open the door.

"Mikasa! I need you to stay up as long as you can." Eren instructed her. Mikasa nodded. The water at her chin. Some of the water got in her mouth and she choked. By now both of their heads were fully under. Mikasa looked down and saw her dead classmates floating around. 'Rest in peace.' She said to herself and then focused on the door. It was impossible to open even she tried to open it. Mikasa decided to elbow it and it created a crack. She looked at Eren and he nodded. She kept punching and kicking at it until multiple cracks were forming. Then eren kicked it and the whole door broke. They were exhausted and loosing breath. Eren got out first and grabbed her arm. Then something grabbed Mikasa. It was one of her classmates. Her classmate was pulling her down who was attempting to get to the top. As much as she didn't want to she was trying to get her classmate off. Then Mikasa ran out of air. She gave up and eyes were started to feel droopy. Eren saw and panicked. He could not let Mikasa die when they were so close. He kicked the classmate in the face and it let go of Mikasa. Mikasa was almost unconscious but was still awake. He grabbed her and held her tight as he swam to the top. He gasped for air as they made it and looked at Mikasa who was coughing and heavily breathing. They both swam to the "shore" and sat there laying down.

"Oh go- *cough* I almost died." Mikasa said.

"I'm glad you didn't." Eren said he felt better and sat up and looked at Mikasa who was still breathing very heavily. Its like she forgot how to breathe. And that was exactly the case. She was coughing and breathing fast.

"Hey hey hey!" Eren said and grabbed Mikasa. She was wheezing and her eyes were closed. He hugged her and rubbed her back as he instructed her through breathing exercises. "Your okay. Your okay."

Mikasa hugged him back and sighed. "Sorry."

"For what?"

"For freaking you out."

"Nah its okay. I'm just glad your okay."

"Thanks. me too." Mikasa said smiling. They looked up as they heard police sirens and ambulances. They were both taken to a hospital and treated. Eren wasn't hurt bad he just needed to be patched up but Mikasa needed stitches and needed a checkup he caused she drank too much of the water on accident.
