"i'm really worried about her." ayanna morris, one of brinley's closest friends (well not at the moment) said with a frown. she was leaning up against a wall in the mall next to her boyfriend, jack avery.

"me too," jack sighed as he turned so that his back was facing the wall and leaned up against it, next to his girlfriend. "but there's nothing more we can really do if she won't listen to us."

corbyn stood silently in front of them, looking down at his feet with a frown. "i hate seeing her hurt."

"me too." ayanna agreed, jack nodded as well.

"what's up guys?" jonah walked over to the group with a smile on his face and his newly bought coffee in his hand. his smile, which soon dropped when he noticed their somber moods. "oh no, what happened?"

they waited for corbyn to answer but when he stood there silently fidgeting his feet still, ayanna piped up and answered jonah. "tyler cheated on brinley again."

jonah frowned. "the nerve of that guy, i swear to god if i ever se-"

"hey guys!" tyler greeting them cheerfully as he approached them, causing jonah to stop what he was saying. corbyn stood up straight and tensed up, shooting him the dirtiest look. his fists closed tight and his face full of anger. he looked as though he was going to snap and attack the boy at any minute.

not wanting to be rude, ayanna plastered a fake smile on her face and said, "oh hey tyler."

"so help me god if he doesn't leave in the next minute, i'm going to break his nose." jonah said through gritted teeth to jack and quickly handed his coffee off to ayanna.

"i'll help." jack answered cracking his knuckles and they started to quietly count to one another. "1.....2......" they were about to attack him on three but when no one said anything else and there was a long awkward silence, tyler took a hint and headed back to his group of friends he was with.

jonah and jack each let out a big breath that they didn't know they were holding in. corbyn released his fists and slouched once again. the frown returning to his face.

"oh thank god," jonah said as he sighed. "he was gonna be dead meat." ayanna handed his coffee back to him and he took a sip of it.

"yeah, i really was about to kick his ass." jack added.

"i..i just can't believe what she said to me." corbyn finally spoke up, his three friends frowning at him.

ayanna put her hand on corbyn's shoulder to comfort him. "i'm sure she didn't mean them, she's upset."

"she told me that i'm never there for her and that i was 'too busy fucking some girl instead of being their for my best friend'. i can't believe she thinks that, i'm always there for her. i just wanted to go out last night and have fun for once and it just happened to be with a girl." he finally looked up and his eyes met ayanna's, then jack's and then he frowned at his feet again.

"and you have every right to." she told him, jonah nodding in agreement.

"don't worry too much, she'll come around." jack said in hopes of lifting his mood a little.
