"Willlll, if you go to Church's and buy me some tenders I'll be your very best friend," I coaxed my elder brother.
"Ronnie, you're already my little sister, you don't have to be my best friend," he smirked, knowing it would annoy me.
"Well how about you drive me, and I pay for the both of us?"
I couldn't drive considering I was only 16 and he was 24.
Yes, we're eight years apart, but talk to each other like we're in the same grade....we grew up close.
"That sounds more like it, and after food, we can go to the mall maybe?" he inquired.
"YASSSS let me go get ready," I exclaimed as I ran up the stairs.
After taking a quick shower, I lotioned myself and threw on my black cami, Nirvana crop top, white skinny jeans, and Jordan Oreo's.
As I was putting on my spike earrings, I heard Will yell to me, "I'm ready!!'
"I'm coming!" I replied while slipping on my silver chain.
"Let's go hoe," I jokingly said while taking my phone off of its charger and running out of the house.
"But you love this hoe," he yelled after me.
'Yea, yea, yea," I muttered while plugging the auxiliary cord into his new radio. I soon went to my play list and clicked on J.Cole's newly released album, Born Sinner, letting his voice fill the car.
"Will, can we go to Cheddar's instead?"
"Do you realize that's like an hour away?"
"We were going to the mall anyway...so let's enjoy the ride foo'."
"Aight lil' gangsta," he snickered.
Thirty minutes into the comfortable silence, I started looking around his 1969 Camaro.
"William, when are you giving me your car?"
"Veronica, when are you getting a job so you can buy my car?"
"Ugh you make my lips hurt," I joked.
Smirking, he replied with, "Awe let me call Sederick to come kiss them better."
"I wouldn't argue with you on that," I muttered, thinking he wouln't hear.
"I knew you still liked him!"
"Psh, I don't know what you're speaking of," I looked out the window.
"Alright Veronica Ann," he chided.
"Okay William Ivory," I teased.
In the midst of our laughter, he pulled into a parking spot. Before I could get out, he locked the doors.
"Hey!"
"Hey nothing, now when we get in this place you better not act up, or I'll pop you like you're three years old again, so don't be embarrassing me."
"Will that was one time, and that was because she kept staring like she had a problem with me being with you, not my fault you have some crazy ex girlfriend's," I snickered.
"True," he laughed while unlocking the doors.
Both of us got out at the same time and met at the front of the car. While looking Will up and down I smacked my teeth and said, "Who you lookin' good for?"
"Ha, well you know how I do," he bragged while popping his collar.
"Uhmhuh got that nappy head all curly and stuff."
"See I would compliment you buuutttt, you're still ugly.'
Laughing, I almost pushed him into a shrub, "Nah you play too much."
"You know I'm playing, you look good too I guess,' he pouted.
"You already know," I model walked to the front door.
When I walked in, some man looked up, "Dang ma, why won't you leave homeboy here and come with me."
I looked him up and down in disgust, and said, "Nah, I think I'll pass," causing the restaurant patrons to 'oooh.'
"That's cool, I just wanted to hit anyway."
Awe, he's butt hurt.
"Boy please, the only thing you'll be hittin' around here is that hand tonight, that's if you can get a good grip on that lil' inch you got," I could hear everyone laugh in the background, "now if you would, please move out of our way, we'd like to eat something."
Little did he know, Will and I were trained boxers, actually kind of famous for it in our small town.
"Man whatever," he said while walking back outside.
"Ronnie you didn't have to do that man like that," Will laughed.
"And he didn't have to disrespect me either."
