Spirit Bound

Prologue

I sit down at my desk and hear a ding from my phone next to me. I pick it up and notice that it's a message from Sam Golbach, he has been my best friend for years. I open the notification and read the words 'Do you want to live with Colby, Jake, Corey, and I?' I immediately texted back

Y/N: "Of course! Anything to get out of this sh*tty old apartment!"
Sam: "Haha! We're moving there in like January so start packing!"
Y/N: "Kk! I'll talk to you later knuckles!"

I had always called him knuckles because when we were younger he never stopped popping his knuckles. As of now, I am 22 and he is 23. I stand up and grab some old boxes out of my closet and start packing up clothes. I get the smaller box and pack up my alter which had a candle, a sage stick, crystals, and a figure of my God/Goddess. I tape up the boxes and put them near the door. I get a phone call from Sam and quickly answer it.

Y/N: Hello?

Sam: Yo! I am going to send you the address and put you in a group chat with the rest of the roommates.

Y/N: Oh- okay! I just finished packing some clothes and my alter

Sam: Good! No rush though! I can also help with moving!

Y/N: Alright! Now all I need to find are more boxes.

Sam: okay! If you need more help just text the group chat, alright?

Y/N: Alright, see you later Knuckles.

Then we hung up. I grab my keys and slide on my shoes so I can go buy some boxes from paper clips.
I leave my house and lock my door walking down the hallway towards the elevator I trip over my feet and fall, skidding my elbow on the carpet. "agh-" It wasn't bleeding but it still hurt like shit. I got back up and kept walking. I stood in the silent elevator until it dinged and opened to the lobby. I walked out and into the parking garage. I found my car and got in. I drove to paper clips and saw Sam there.

  "Sam?" I walk up to him giving him a hug "You here for boxes too?" I ask "Yeah... Kat is helping me move out so she is in there while I work out some money difficulties out here!" He spoke while looking up and down from his phone. Kat walked out of the store carrying a bunch of flattened boxes "Hey, Y/N! We haven't seen each-other since like July!" She gave the sheets to Sam and we hugged "I best get my boxes and keep packing. I'll catch you guys later!" I walk away waving. I get about 15 small boxes, 10 medium boxes and 5 large boxes. I shove the flattened boxes into the car and drive to my apartment building (which I share with Sam and Colby and Jake.) I pack up the rest of my things in a matter of three days (I don't own much.)

  Sam comes over and helps me load my things into a moving truck. It was about a 5-hour drive to the new house. I took a few stops along the way causing it to make the trip 7 hours. I pull into the neighborhood and it seems nice. I see the house and start pulling up.

   What I get from this quote is that even though things might be bad, if you pay only attention to the good things they will take up your mind.

   A reminder that the full chapters will be longer than the prologue is. Do not concern if my chapters are short. I will make sure I keep you entertained and happy!
