Levi x Eren: The Hunt

Chapter 7

Normal POV

How is that possible? Levi thought. Did the titan attack him? Then how.....? Did he kill the titan? No, he has no weapons. I don't understand.

Levi was deep in thought when Eren began to shuffle. He didn't know what to do, and decided to sit down at the nearby table so Eren wouldn't see him watching.

Eren sat up and faced the window. He then got up and opened the curtain slightly, letting in the little light that was left.

Eren then felt the eyes watching and turned to find Levi sitting at the table. "What the hell are you doing here?" Eren seemed to panic.

"I came to get you, Eren." Levi responded.

"Of course you are. Just like everyone else, you are after my power!" Eren responded. "I won't let you take me back there!" Eren's arm that was previously cut off grew back instantly before Levi's eyes. He brought his hand to his face, and bit into it, sending him into transformation.

Within a second, heat and light came out of nowhere, and blew the house to smithereens. Levi's instincts kicked in just before that and his gear launched him out of the house before it collapsed. His eyes opened and he saw the titan appear again, coming from the house. He now understood what happened, as he saw the titan before him was the same as the one earlier, and it's bones remained nearby.

"Eren's a titan?" Levi's mind could barely wrap around the thought. Titans are humans?!

Titan Eren let out a screech so loud that it made Levi's ears bleed. He looked down as the small man cowered in pain as his gear still hung him up like a decoration. The titan walked closer and grabbed Levi from where he hung.

Levi, whose ears were still ringing, feared that his life was about to come to an end. He looked down at the titan holding him. He knew he had to say something. Maybe this was the power they were after.

"Eren! Please don't kill me!" Levi shouted. With his ears hurting still, he couldn't even tell if he was really shouting, or if he was whispering, but he continued anyways. "Eren, I don't care about your power! I came here for you!!!"

Eren's titan lowered Levi to the crumpled rooftop, before it crumpled to the ground itself and Eren emerged from a cloud of hot steam. "You mean you came here to kill me?"

"No, not like that." Levi responded, getting up and walking closer so he could hear better. "I....I..... I had a vision, Eren."

"A vision? Do you really think I would believe that?" Eren replied.

"It's true, Eren. I had a vision that I needed to keep you in my life." Levi explained as he finally made it to the ground. "If they are after you, then I want to protect you from them."

"Your lying to me just so I can let my guard down."

Levi starts removing his own gear. He threw the swords to the ground like they were nothing. He removed the engines and removed the chest harness he was wearing. Levi looked down and saw the small amount of blood on his shirt and said with disgust, "sorry, I hate blood. It's disgusting, even if it's my own."

Eren watched as Levi removed his shirt, leaving his bare scarred skin exposed. "You've been injured a lot."

"All from titans." Levi responded. "They put me against titans for many years."

"What about the people you killed?" Eren wondered.

Levi cleared his throat. "Titans are mindless and only want to eat us. They are simple and easy to read. Humans on the other hand are complicated. They lie, cheat, and are greedy, and try to get us to turn on each other. Humans are more cruel and disgusting."

Eren looked at him, intrigued.

"Before anything else, I will let you know," Levi began to explain. "I was released from that prison to come and capture you. In the morning, they will find out that I was lying, and will send Kenny after us."

Eren's eyes narrowed. He knew exactly how bad it could go from that information. "Kenny always gets what he hunts. We can't beat him." Eren slouched time the ground in defeat.

"No." Levi said, reaching out his hand. "You have me by your side."

Eren looked up and reached for the hand. "And what says that you can beat Kenny?"

"I can beat Kenny," Levi began. "Because I was raised by Kenny."

Eren face lit up in response. He knew he was saved. He knew he had found his hero. Or, that's what he thought he was.
