A year later,

Many needy people had benefited from Meenakshi Foundation.As a result,she was recognised for her philanthropy by a leading woman's magazine.They held an award ceremony to honour woman achievers.

V's mom: My daughter-in-law is coming on tv...this Sunday...don't forget to watch!😃

Vicky's mother went to remind the entire colony to watch the program and brag about the greatness of her daughter-in-law.

Meenakshi partook in the event with Vicky.She was called up to the stage to receive the 'Outstanding Philanthropist of the year' award.She was given the chance to speak a few words.With utmost humility,Meenakshi thanked everyone from her parents to her teachers and everyone who believed in her.

Someone from the media questioned how she was able to achieve her dreams post her marriage.She replied to that.

M: Though this was my dream,it was my husband who gave life to it.From leaving his job to moving to Delhi with me to getting back the land,without him this establishment might not have been possible.

All the cameras focused on him and Vicky felt shy.He smiled coyly like a boy who was getting praised by his teacher in front of his classmates.

M: For him to be the person he is,is because of my in-laws who brought him up the right way.If every mother raises her son to respect and value a woman and her opinions like my mother-in-law did,marriage would not be a barrier for any woman to achieve in life.I consider myself blessed for having gotten such supportive in-laws.

V's mom clapped in excitement.She felt proud.

V's mom: That's me!!She spoke about me!😃

V's dad: Now go another round wearing cooling glass and brag about yourself...🤣🤣

Priya who was also watching the show,recalled that day when she badmouthed Vicky's mother and spoke bad about his upbringing.Meenakshi's speech pricked her.

P: I humiliated Vicky and his family but she is honoring them...if only I understood him the way she did...😒

She knew it was pointless crying over spilt milk.In her heart she wished them both well.

Later,the media people wanted a photo of Vicky and Meenakshi to put as the cover page of their magazine.Such was their aura.🥰

V: Don't want Ms.Fish.It is you who won the award,you go...you know me...I am a shy person and fear to pose for photographs...🥺

M: If you're not coming then I also won't pose...

"Sir,pls sir,you're the man behind her success we need to capture you also as inspiration for men."the media person insisted.

M: Pls Vicky...they're requesting so much...

He agreed for her sake and their photo was clicked.Vicky and Meenakshi's photo graced the magazine's cover page the following month under the caption Mr.&Mrs.Perfect!♥️
