Sherlock never did P.E. Ever. He couldn't stand the boorish students, running around with sweat dampening their polo shirts, causing an unpleasant odour to linger in the changing rooms afterwards. Any type of physical activity was useless he thought. It never helped to keep his brain ticking like the other academic subjects did, and when his brain was being used, he felt a lot calmer.
Just like Jim's, he'd been thinking about that all day, well, he'd been thinking about Jim in general all day. He couldn't possibly like the boy in that way. The way in which the immature girls swoon over the muscular boys in the school. But he did feel something different to what he would usually feel to another person.
His main feeling for the other students was hatred. Complete and utter hatred. He thought they were imbeciles, stupid-minded idiots. He'd heard Jim call a boy a "doofus" in maths before, when he had been sitting next to him. They had laughed for five minutes afterwards, talking about how the other students' brains were inferior to theirs. After that lesson, Irene Adler had texted Sherlock, teasing him about how he had been flirting with Jim. The lanky teen had just swallowed uncomfortably and ignored it when it had been received. He had never flirted with Jim, it was just general chit chat in a way-too-easy maths lesson!
These past events with Jim had been swarming around his mind while he was watching the other kids do PE. He always found a way to get out of the lesson, and never participated. He just watched at a distance, standing behind the metal fence which surrounded the school field. He loved quiet moments like this to think. Usually, he'd think about puzzles and chemistry, but now all he could think about was that short Irish teen with those dark eyes and that mischievous grin.
It was a bitterly cold but sunny March morning, and Sherlock had been squinting at the bright rays beaming down directly into his eyes. The long, thick coat he was wearing didn't stop him from feeling chilly, and so the students in just shorts and polo shirts on that field must be dithering.
"You're not one for sport either then?" A voice drawled from behind him. Sherlock immediately turned, startled, seeing Jim Moriarty grinning, revealing small white teeth.
"Nahh" Sherlock replied mirroring the grin "not useful for the brain is it? You might know."
"Oh boy, the feeling's mutual. Care to join me?" He offered, cocking his head towards the pathway that lead around the school.
"Don't mind if I do."
Jim started walking and Sherlock fell in step next to him.
"So as we're in the quiet, I can inform you on your new job!" Jim announced smiling widely.
"I think that would be wise." Sherlock added smiling.
"Wellllllll." He drawled "You should know that my services consist of the use of my brain, and that I help people... Let's just say get rid of others, or at least push their buttons a little." He chuckled to himself lightly. "If a person needs to be ridden of another, they need a way to do it. A way in which they will not be caught. This is where my services come into play. People pay me lots of money to figure out a way to do so."
Sherlock looked slightly shocked, he didn't realise that Jim's job was that serious.
"Oh darling don't look so afraid. No one at this school knows about that part of what I do, apart from you and Sebastian. Bigger or more desperate people ask me for those kind of services, none of the students here. The students here ask me for smaller things, such as where to get what and who to get in contact with to find that. It's simple, it's like connecting the dots. Anyway, you'll he helping me with the more serious side of things!" He chirped.
