"Unbelievable Soo-Won, how can you believe a lie like that?" Yona huffed. "You are the cruel one, and a nuisance." Hak retorted. "Hak," (y/n) warned.

"Actually, getting married might come true for you." King Il walked in the room. "It's about time to start thinking about getting a fiancé."

"No, I want Soo-Won..." Yona started but was cut off. "It can't be Soo-Won." He yelled. (y/n) flinched at the volume of his voice. He rarely yelled, especially not at Yona.

"I don't want to hear you speak of my love life! I'm..." Yona said before King Il cut in. "Yona, I have always given you anything you desired. I would give you anything that is not a weapon. But no matter how you wish it, I cannot give you Soo-Won. You are the princess of Kouka. The man who marries you will become the next king."

(y/n) couldn't help but feel sadness for the crimson-haired princess. She knew how much Yona favored her beloved cousin and (y/n) believed that one day, she would watch Soo-Won and Yona get married with her and Hak standing behind them, protecting them. "Hak."

The said male put a finger up, signalling for her to stop and pointed out the window and into the rain. (y/n) looked outside to see soldiers roaming the castle halls. It gave her a weird feeling like something's going to happen but she disregarded it.

The father and daughter continued to argue until King Il closed the argument with "I can't let you have Soo-Won!" And Yona ran out of the room.

"Princess!" Min-Soo called out before (y/n) put her hand on his shoulder, shaking her head. "Min-Soo, let her calm down first. If we go after her now, we'll just make it worse."

"Okay," Min-Soo sighed.

"Your majesty, please reconsider," (y/n) said. "I'm sure Lord Soo-Won can protect the princess. Please..."
"It's for Yona's sake," King Il said. "If Soo-Won marries Yona, she'll be hurt. And besides, didn't the marriage meeting with Soo-Won go well? I wouldn't have a problem at all if you were the one to marry my nephew."

(y/n) froze a little at the mention of the meeting but quickly shook out of it when she heard her partner coughing. "Hak, are you alright?" She asked, worriedly.

"Marriage meeting?" Hak asked, calming down. "Oh? (y/n) didn't tell you? She and Soo-Won had a marriage meeting a few months back," King Il said.

"She didn't tell me anything at all," Hak said, his eyes narrowing at the said girl.

Clearing her throat, she spoke. "Your majesty. Forgive me if I'm being rude but I don't want to get married yet. At least not until Princess Yona does," she said, bowing. "I'm grateful for your help but I don't think I'm ready just yet."

Outside...

Silence hung between Hak and (y/n) as the sound of rain filled the silence. (y/n) leaned over the rail, watching as the rain fell.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Hak asked.

"I didn't think it mattered to you," (y/n) said, turning her head to look at him.

"Of course it matters!" Hak yelled. "You should've told me about something this important."

"I didn't think you were that interested in my love life," (y/n) said, a joking tone laced in her voice. "Almost sounds like you don't want me to get married or something."

The only sound they heard was the sound of the rain hitting the roof above them. That is, until Hak spoke. "What if I didn't?" Hak asked, turning to her.
