A/N: Welcome to my Akatsuki no Yona x Reader fanfiction.

I'll be updating the story one chapter at a time so if you want to read it all at once, you can go ahead to my Quotev account to read it (the story is currently on hiatus since I'm focusing on my other story first). I'll update this story to correspond to what I have up already in Quotev.

I don't own Akatsuki no Yona, any of the characters, or pictures.

(y/n)= Your Name

(e/c)= Eye Color

(h/c)= Hair Color

(f/c)= Favorite Color

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the story!

She was standing in front of a bed, staring down at the man laying on it. "(y/n), I know you aren't bound to me like the others but should I ever wake again, would you follow me?"

"Who are you and why do you know my name?" Was what she wanted to say but what came out of her mouth was, "I might not have their powers and am not bound to you by blood but when you gave me this mark, I swore loyalty to you, your majesty. I will be by your side whenever you awake."

She never understood that dream. It was her but then again, she wasn't. And who was the person she was talking to? Hearing how the dream her addressed the person, she guessed that it was a king of some sorts?

But the only part that she understood was the mark  (it's red, not black; choose one).

She assumed that the mark she was talking about in the dream was the mark she harbored on her left upper arm

She assumed that the mark she was talking about in the dream was the mark she harbored on her left upper arm. A crimson dragon.

But what did it mean? And in the first place, why did she have that dream anyways? Was it telling her something?

Her fingers brushed over the mark as she looked at it from the mirror. It's no time to be thinking about this right now. She thought, putting her arm through the sleeve, covering the mark.

"Lady (y/n)." The said woman turned around to see the maids walk into her room. "Please allow us to do your hair."

"Thanks," she said, giving a small smile.

Her mind wandered. Two days ago, she was training with the castle troops when she was summoned by the king.

"(y/n), Mundok has asked me to help you find a suitor," King Il had said.

(y/n) blinked, her brain slowly processing what he had just said. "Wait, a suitor?!"
King Il nodded, smiling. "You're going to be turning 19 this year. We agreed that it should be about time you get married. So I've set up a marriage meeting for you in two days."
"M-Marriage meeting?!" (y/n) exclaimed, her eyes wide. "Your majesty. I don't think that's a good idea."
