Epilogue Pt.2

4 weeks later

Matt was still ignoring Mason, he wouldn't talk to him nor get close to him, Mason had tried many times to talk to him but he wouldn't listen, Matt streamed, made his own food, and slept in the old room he was in, Mason felt like the worst person ever, the worst boyfriend ever.

One night Mason couldn't sleep, he ruffled around in bed trying to get comfortable but he couldn't, he looked over at the small box he kept it his table, he eventually got up and went to Matt's room, who was asleep, and laid next to him, Mason wraps his arms around Matt but he pulls Mason's arm away and mumbled tiredly "go away" Mason sniffles trying to hold back his tears but it doesn't work and he got up from the bed and goes back to his room where he cried into his pillow, Matt felt bad hearing him cry but he was tried and only realize what he said after Mason left.

Tobi had texted Matt to meet up at a cafe shop, when he got there they were talking to each other like normally, "so have you forgiven Mason yet?" she asked "no, not yet" he responds "why not, it's been weeks?" she sighs "I can't, I know I'm hurting him when I ignore him but every time he gets close to me I just remember and I get upset again," "then why not break up with him? This tension you're giving him is hurting him" Tobi asked "because a piece of me still love him, but I can't tell him" he says "please do, he went through a lot and I mean a lot that year you were in the hospital, not only you being in a coma but people were spread a rumor that he pushed you into the car, he got death notes and some people even told him to kill himself to his face, plus his abusive ex-boyfriend" she states "abusive ex?" He questioned "yeah, he also cheated on him a lot sometime while Mason was home, he didn't tell you that because he didn't want you to worry about him even more than you already were" she explained, he sighed "will you at least talk to him again? I've never see him as happy as when he told me you two were dating" Tobi said "ok, but what do I say him?" "Tell him how you feel? Maybe you'll be able to forgiven if you did" she suggests "thanks Tobi" he says, she smiles sweetly.

When Matt got home, he placed his keys on counter and walked over to living were the TV was on, he saw Mason on the couch looking at the ring Matt brought, "hey" Matt says softly Mason looks over to him and seem happy, "hi" he stood up, "sorry I've been ignoring you" he says Mason didn't know to say but he wanted to say something "I've just been so angry and I shouldn't have been so mean" Matt walks up him, he looked into Mason's eyes then grabs his hand, "but why didn't you tell me what happened senior year and how they rumored about you," "I wanted to forget about it, everything they said and wrote on my locker in spray paint" he says crying "I woke up every day believing them, that I was reason you were in the hospital" "no, baby, of course you're not" Matt places his hand on Mason's waist and pulls him in, "I love you, Mason, I forgive you" Mason pulls into his embrace and holds him tight "I love you too" Mason says then buried his head in Matt's necks when they pull away, Matt kisses Mason, they stayed like that for a wonderful 15 seconds, when they pull away looked into each other eyes until Matt's eyes couldn't something else, the box with ring inside on the couch, and smiles to himself, "I have an idea" he says "get ready we're going out to dinner tonight" he lets go of Mason and slips the box up the sleeve of his hoodie, "ok!" Mason chimes happily and rushed upstairs.

After they were ready and Matt got a picnic blanket, "what's that for?" Mason says coming down the stairs wearing black jeans, a black sweater with a flannel around his waist, converses and his hair was brushed nicely "baby... you look amazing" Matt says stunned by his amazing boyfriend, "thanks babe," Mason smiles feelings great about himself, "sorry I'm starring, I was thinking we could pick up some burgers and milkshake, then go to a little place at the park tonight" he says "of course" Mason smiles and they get into the car and drove to the a local diner and orders and they wait for it at a table.

As they waited and Mason notices a waitress eyeing Matt, he clenches his jaw "what's wrong?" Matt places his hand on Mason's "nothing, I just don't like the way that girl is looking at you" he says "aw, are you jealous?" He smirks "no... just being cautious" he murmurs cutely, Matt chuckles and looks over to the girl and waves, she smiles and waves back, 'he's my boyfriend' Matt mouths making the girl blushes in embarrassment and mouths 'sorry', "see, nothing to worry about, baby" he smiles and leans over pecking Mason's lips.

They grab their meals and Matt was driving to the park they went to when they were in high school "we haven't been here in years" Mason says as he got out the car "yeah, I kind of missed this place" Matt said entwining his fingers with Mason's as they walked over to the tree they used to sit under, it was very pretty since it was spring and the flowers were blooming, there were pink blossoms in the trees and fireflies dancing around with the midnight stars, Matt sets the blanket down. They chat for a long while, laughing together, and making jokes, "what was your first to?" Matt asked "what do you mean?" Mason says, "well, I'm not your first boyfriend, Jay took your Virginity and was your first kiss, damn sound like you should've chosen him" Matt says

"Jay wasn't my first kiss"

"Really? Then who?"

"Tobi, we were playing truth or dare and I was dared to kiss her, that's when I first thought I was gay"

"So, what was I first to?"

"You were my first guy crush, and you- well nevermind"

"No, tell meeee"

"Fine, you gave me my first boner, that's how I knew for sure I was gay" he blushes embarrassingly

"What? When was this?"

"8th grade"

"Wait you've liked me since 8th year"

"Yep"

"Wow, simp." Matt says jokingly, "hey! I'm not a simp" he push Matt playfully, "what's that over there?" Matt says trying to distract Mason "over where?" He look in the direction Matt was point, "you'll probably have it stand up to see it" Mason does so "I don't see anything over there" as Mason was distracted Matt got on one knee and pull the small black box out of his pocket "it's gone now" Matt says getting a tad nervous, Mason turns around and smiles ear to ear "will you marry me?" Matt proposed "oh my god, I'd say yes a billion time" he tears up, Matt got up and slipped the ring onto Mason's finger, and kiss passionately "I love you so much" Matt whispers "I love you too" Mason whispers, and they kiss again holding each other and enjoying the moment piece by piece under the light of the full moon.
