Chapter 14

4 days, she's been bedridden now for four days. She can't walk at all, it's heart breaking to watch. When your mother, the woman who brought you into this world, can't even sit up on her own.

They said it a cracked spinal cord. When she landed in the barn she landed right where her spinal cord meets her spine. I know it isn't nice and now she can hardly move. But there's a good side to this story, well sort of, at least she hasn't snapped it, if she had snapped it there would be no way to do anything with it and she would be paralysed but it hasn't so there is a chance. A very small chance but still, a chance.

I haven't spoke to Josh or the girls since I've been here with mum. I've been receiving school work online so I've been doing that but there is no way I am going to leave her side until there is some change.

About 2pm my phone rang, I picked up my Nokia Lumia 520 and stared at it while it rung. Josh calling.

Very slowly I pressed accept and put it up to my ear.

But what I heard on the other side wasn't what I wanted to hear.

"Josh. I love you. Please, didn't last night mean anything?" A girl questioned.

"Of course it did. I just need to get rid of the other one. She's helping me with a project, if I play my cards right I may get an A and a little on the side." He chuckled.

"I love you."

"And I love you." I dropped my phone and heard it crash in the floor.

I thought I meant something to him. This is why I stayed away. Cause I knew that he would make me do it.

Fall in love with him.

A doctor was talking to my dad outside of the room. I went over to see what they were taking about.

"Money is no object." I heard him say.

"So you would happily move to Florida?" The doctor asked. Florida?

"Well I'd have to talk to Diana and Carl first but I don't see why not." The doctor nodded.

"Okay. Well I'll get the papers then." The doc walked off.

"Dad. Florida?" I questioned.

"So you heard that." I nodded.

"Yes well. We'll be moving to Florida. Just for a few months just to see if they can do anything. But you'll have to change schools for the time being. Is that okay?" I thought about the phone call.

"Yes it would be fine. Anything to help mum."
