I miss you. (Julie and the Phantoms)

        Thea heard her parents yells off outrage before she saw them. She had her bags packed just in case they took the news badly. Thea's older brother, Alex, was going to tell their parents that he was gay today. By the noise she heard outside her bedroom, it was time for plan b. Thea quickly, and quietly grabbed Alex's bag and went downstairs. Her brother was going to meet her there after their parents went to sleep. Then they were going to the band's studio where Alex practiced with his best friends, Reggie and Luke. Thea had never met them but she trusted her brother.

            She was only downstairs for 10 minutes when Alex came down. He had a bruise on his cheekbones but otherwise he was ready. Communicating with their eyes they were able to silently pick up their bags and leave the house. Thea wasn't worried about school because she was a prodigy. Her parents showed her off to everyone they met, bragging about how their daughter had skipped 3 grades and was currently in her senior year of high school. Her parents treated her well but she loved her brother more than anything so if they didn't support Alex then she would. Thea knew that when she went applications to the colleges , they would be tripping over themselves to give her a full scholarship but she loved to play and make music and sing just like her brother.

                The studio was only a few blocks away so they got there relatively fast. No one was inside so they put their things down and later down on the couch at the side of the room. Within minutes they were out cold.

                  Thea woke up to a quiet conversation. When she opened her eyes she saw that there were two boys in front of her they looked to be her brothers age. One was rather muscular and was wearing a loose tank top with cut off sleeves and the other had a red flannel on, with a leather jacket on top. Speaking of her brother, Thea just now noticed that Alex was snoring with his head in her lap. She tried to sit up without disturbance in him but it worked to no avail. When they noticed her shifting, the boys stopped talking and just stared. Thea started to comb through Alex's hair so that he would call back asleep, it had always done the trick.

        "Hello" she whispered. "I'm Thea. Who are you?" .
       The muscular one answered first, being snapped out of his shock first "I'm Luke, and this is Reggie" he gestured to the other boy with the flannel. "Why are you here? And how do you know Alex?"
          Thea laughed, no one ever realized that she and Alex were related because they looked nothing alike. " I'm his sister. We're here because Alex is no longer accepted at home. "

            It was at that moment that Alex was roused from his sleep and he saw his sister and his best friends conversing. He sat up so that they would notice him and they stopped their conversation to look at him. They all looked concerned and Alex was sure that he looked like hell with his blood shot eyes and rumpled clothes. Thea reached out and touched his cheek and he leaned into her hand.
          
              Thea looked back to her two new friends as Reggie asked "I take it that the telling didn't go so well?" .
                Alex snorted "That's the understatement of the year."

Reggie and Luke simultaneously reached out their arms and Alex all but fell into them. That was when Thea realized that she was going to get along great with these boys.
