Chapter 2: Visit To Konoha And Premonition

Sonia POV

I awoke from brief slumber, greeted by the soft moonlight that was peering in through my bedroom window.

'I have a bad feeling...'

I sighed, got up and walked out of the room only to see Gaara sitting in the living room.

"Couldn't sleep either, huh?"

He shook his head, looking over at me as I sat down next to him.

"What's keeping you awake?" he asked.

"...a feeling."

"Oh? What kind of feeling?"

I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him tightly. "A scary feeling...like... something's bad is gonna happen..."

He hugged me back. "I'm sure it's nothing to worry about..."

"You say that...but this feeling seriously worries me...it's as if, someone I thought was my ally is going to take something away from me...but I can't be sure..."

He kissed my forehead softly. "It's going to be alright..."

I nodded slightly, though my worry didn't fade in the slightest. And we both faded into darkness in eachother's arms.

"As a mission, you're going to go to Konohagakure to help the organization of the chunin exams."

"Really?!" I asked cheerfully.

"Yeah, and I thought visiting would make you happy." he replied with a smile.

I grinned and kissed his cheek. "You're the best!"

He smirked. "Aren't I?"

I giggled and hugged him. "I'll miss you.."

"I'll miss you too...don't be gone too long."

"I won't~"

"Naruto's back, huh?" I asked Shikamaru.

"Yeah, he's probably at Ichiraku's by now." he replied.

"Thanks." I said before heading there to see him for myself.

"Thirds!" I heard the knucklehead ninja demand happily.

"Yeah yeah, I'd almost forgotten how big your appetite was..." Mr. Ichiraku muttered with a sigh.

I sat down next to Naruto. "Could you double the order?" I asked.

They both turned to look at me surprised.

"!!...Sonia..!" Naruto yelled happily before hugging me.

I giggled and hugged him back. "Hiya!"

"I missed ya!"

"You too! How have you been all this time? I trust  the training went well?"

"Yeah, believe it!"

"That's good to hear.."

"Oh! I saw your note....I've been worried this whole time, ya know..."

I hugged him. "I'm sorry..."

"It's okay now, believe it!"

"Yeah..."

"Hey, let's have a training battle later, for old time sake..."

"Alright."

"Begin!" Kakashi instructed and Naruto dashed towards me, throwing multiple shuriken.
