"But..." Jungkook didn't have any more words to say. There was coldness seeping through his veins.

"You—" Seokjin ran a hand through his hair, frustration clear on his face, "Jungkook, you were a fucking minor when we were together! If I would have felt anything for you then, we wouldn't even be having this conversation because I would have cut ties with you a long time ago!"

And that put things in a different perspective for Jungkook.

The younger man had never thought how the situation looked from Seokjin's point of view. He had always looked at their life through his love-tinted glasses, not bothering to take a peak through Seokjin's adult lenses.

"I met you when you were fifteen and left when you had just turned eighteen", Seokjin sat down on the bed, as if he had no energy left, "And now, when I meet you after three years I..."

Jungkook regretted his decision of not sending Seokjin his pictures.

Because of course Seokjin would feel this way! He left Jungkook as a child who had freshly turned an adult. For three years, even though time passed, Seokjin still had the same image of Jungkook in his mind: a boy fresh out of his teens, innocent and barely mature.

Seokjin hadn't seen him grow up, so of course he still thought of Jungkook as the little kid he left behind.

"Hyung..." Jungkook wanted to hit himself in the head for his foolishness, "I know, I know why you're feeling this way. You never saw me grow up, you never got used to the fact that I'm not a kid."

Seokjin looked at the younger man, eyes teary and lost. Jungkook couldn't help but sit beside him and take him in his arms.

"I'm sorry, it's my fault."

Jungkook felt like crying.

He had waited so much, remained patient and understanding but still messed up with the one person he loved the most. It hurt, Jungkook sniffed softly, it hurt to hurt the person who was the centre of his universe.

"Don't say that, Jk."

The nickname felt like a soothing balm on his aching heart, giving him some relief and warmth. Seokjin returned his hug, albeit not as tight.

"Please, give me a chance", he pulled back to look straight into Seokjin's eyes, making sure the other knew how serious he was, "Don't dismiss me, us, so quickly. Give these feelings some time, give me some time."

Seokjin's brows were knitted, his bottom lip trapped between his teeth. The face in front of him was so familiar yet so foreign. Seokjin knew he was attracted to this man, to his Jk, but the shadow of that fifteen year old whom he had taken up as his little brother made him conflicted.

"I feel like I'm corrupting you", he admitted softly, feeling shameful of all thoughts he had had for this man, "I won't be able to look Namjoon in the eyes if—"

"I'm pretty sure Hyung knows of my feelings."

Jungkook was not pretty sure but he knew that Namjoon was smart enough to have grasped onto his intense likeness for Seokjin. Whether he thought this likeness was a puppy crush or genuine love, that Jungkook didn't know.

"And I know that he no longer thinks of me as a kid", Seokjin gave him a small, watery smile which made Jungkook correct himself, "Okay, maybe he does. He has known me since I was in diapers, afterall. But I know he trusts me to make decisions for myself."

"Jungkook..." Seokjin's heart wasn't settled, it still felt wrong to even think about something between them, "You wouldn't be saying that if you knew what all I had thought about you in these days."
