Chapter 46

Percy POV

" So then me and Leo now are still friends but I have to stay hear for the weekend"

"Percy! What did I tell you no fighting, no getting physical. Oh I hope Leo is ok"

As my mom took a tray of blue cookies out of the oven, nice and fresh, she put them on top of the stove for them to cool down. I took a cookie and placed it onto a paper towel. I took a big bite. 

"Everything was supposed to go as planned I was supposed to propose to Annabeth but then this drama occurred."

"Well the important thing is that you two have sorted things out."

She walked around the kitchen counter and plopped herself onto the couch in the living room.

"I'm going to my room." Percy said as he made his way over to his room. He sat on the bed looking at pictures of him and Annabeth together like that time we had a picnic on the canoe lake. Or the time the whole gang was hanging out during Christmas. Those were the memories  I cherished most because I felt like a normal human. Hanging out with friends. Having a good time but most importantly being with my girlfriend without monsters, or gods, or anything that was part of my demigod life. I was deep into my thinking that I didn't realize my step-dad Paul was in the door way

"How's it going, your mom told me everything, is everything good?"

"Yes." Percy said in return

"I know that I may not be a demigod or have cool powers or anything but at least I can give you some fatherly advice" He chuckled

"Sometimes thing may not go as planned in a relationship, it may be hard to propose as you know I asked you about it a couple years ago if I should propose to your mother. It was very difficult but sometime in the near future you will know when the time is right, it's ok if you aren't ready to propose. You might be ready but you will just know when the time is right. It is ok if you are not ready just yet, just let me know when you are" 

"Thanks, Paul. That is the best thing I have heard all day" I said while giving him a bro hug.

"Now I have a phone call to make"

I walked out of the room with Paul trailing behind me, he went over to my mom and then I walked out of the door. As I kept walking they disappeared in the distance. I tried to find a public pay phone. Now I know that using a phone especially for a demigod is dangerous and those special phones, Leo and Annabeth are working on that are for demigods are not ready yet but this was a important phone call. I put in 4 quarters and punched in Annabeth's dads number in the pay phone and it started to ring. Someone picked up

"Hello?"

"Who is this?"

"This is Percy"

"Oh hey Percy, so what did you want to talk about?"

"This is about your daughter"

"Is something wrong with her?"

"No I was thinking about proposing to her"

Sorry for not updating for like a week, I have a ton of hw and what not so it might be another week until the next update. Also sorry for the cliffhanger but it seemed like a good suspenseful area to end the story.
