Week 4: Slaughter Houses
-
Im not trying to create a problem or anything, but I personally like slaughter houses. With slaughter houses being open, there is a use for an old crippled horse that you can do absolutely nothing with. When slaughter houses were closed, many horses were left to starve, be malnourished, and many other health issues, some of which, cannot be fixed. I believe there is a point in which you put down a horse. When it is no longer humane for a horse to live, what options are there? Slaughter so it can be used for a list of things, or, buried where it will do no good? And yes I do realize "oh but poor rocket doesn't deserve that" but he also doesn't deserve to be laying in a stall on his death bed. A horse will do no good decomposing in the soil, but, it will serve for other animal consumption, and many more uses. I'm not saying slaughter a 3yr old that is crippled but is fine other than that, all I mean is its still gotta be HUMANE. Now, if that 3yr old was crippled, and had a terminal illness, sorry buddy... I hate doing rants like this, but someone had to, and I'm deeply sorry if this offends any of you.
