When I still lived alone, I had an extra empty room; that is the reason why I adopted Spice, I was planning to make it his own separate cat room. I was an office manager with an annual salary of $51k-$55k. It is a lie if I said I liked my job, but It's not like I hated it either; plus, it had a pretty good pay for a small company like mine.

Min's annual salary at his company was about $50k as a commercial and food photographer; but because he also does freelance photography on other aspects, it earned him up to a total of $63k a year.

The apartment complex that I lived at is not fancy, but it is not shabby. It was located right at the heart of the city, not too far from my workplace or Min's. My apartment had a total of one master bedroom with a bathroom, a guest room, an office, and a singular bathroom.

The reason that I did not move in with Min at the time is because he was a decisive and articulate person. He didn't want to waste money on too much space when he was going to live alone, thus his apartment only had enough living space for one person.

It was hard trying to persuade Min to come and live with me back then. It took a total of three years of dating before I convinced him to move in with me using the excuse that the expenses for my apartment was just too expensive for me to pay alone. And it wasn't a false statement, paying for that apartment every year would cost me almost half my annual salary.

I had planned for Min to live in the guest bedroom at the time after moving Spice's things to the living room. But after he moved in, for some strange reason his clothes ended up in my closet, and whenever I went to bed, an extra person would be lying there with me. Though it wasn't too bad waking up to my beloved boyfriend's pretty face.

It wasn't strange for Vina and Juda to show up at my apartment at the most random of times whenever we all had a day off, mostly because my place was the best location to accommodate all three of us; Juda had a smaller apartment, and Vina's husband would always be at home causing interruptions. They both knew when Min moved in with me, but it was obvious this time because we were married now; but they didn't care because Mr. Min was usually quietly doing his own thing and was very considerate of the two of them. If my readers can't tell by now, I refer to him as Min when I recall the times he was or wasn't my boyfriend, and Mr. Min when I talk about the times he's my husband.

I was out one afternoon going grocery shopping at the supermarket while Min was left home alone editing some photos on the desktop with Spice to accompany him. Juda and Vina decided to show up at our place that noon. Because I wasn't home, Min had to have been the one to open the door.

By the time I got home and unlocked the door with grocery bags in my hands, I heard chatter and laughter. I could guess by then who decided to drop by.

"Come help me bring in the groceries honey!" I then heard shuffling of feet coming near, and a muffled voice trickling through the air.

"Sweets, your back," Mr. Min came into view staggering left and right, his complexion didn't look normal.

"Honey, what's wrong?" I placed the groceries in my hand onto the floor and put the palm of my hand onto his forehead to check his temperature. Before I could say anything more, Mr. Min scooped me up into his arms and pushed me up against the opened door of our apartment before he started kissing me. It startled me, I couldn't guess what was wrong with him; only until he kissed me, I smelt a faint scent of alcohol.

I remember seeing Vina and Juda chuckling evilly from the corner of my peripheral vision. Embarrassed, I tried pushing Mr. Min off, but my strength was nothing compared to his. After what felt like the longest minute of my life, Mr. Min relented and hugged me saying,
