[3] The Traitor

"Here's your tea, Young Prince." Lalisa Manoban said to the prince of beauty, handing him a cup of tea on top of a saucer.

"Thanks, Lalisa." Taehyung said as the smile on his lips never faded, as the kiss him and Jeongguk shared yesterday still lingered on it.

"Sire, what keeps you smiling today?" Lisa asked the young prince, as Taehyung put his elbow on top of the table as his his chin on his palm.

Taehyung's heart fluttered as he remembered Jeongguk telling him sweet nothings such as,

"Your so pretty, Taehyung."

"You are so perfect beyond it all."

"I can't help but love you more.."

Lisa looked weirdly at his Young Prince who closed his eyes dreamily, as Taehyung smiled, feeling the romantic excitement.

Jeongguk is just the man he want to love and be with for his entire life. Maybe it was love at first sight that got developed into the one like, greatest love.

It was weird, really. But it was Jeongguk who made him feel things that he haven't when he was locked inside their castle.
He made him feel secured and loved. Not that his parents doesn't love him and care for him but Jeongguk's love was different. Way different.

Inside their humble abode, he would always get compliments. Actually, tons of them for looking good in anything he wears. He's almost sick of it.

But when it came to Jeongguk, it hit him differently. He remembers Jeongguk calling him 'pretty-face' when they first met and that really got him flushed red. He doesn't know why he acted like that at that time. But now he knows why.

It's because he liked the young man. He LOVES Jeongguk.

"Uhm, Sire?"

"Y-Yes? Did you say s-something?" Taehyung's daydreaming puffed away as soon as Lisa spoke, nervously smiling at his maid.

"I was asking you, what keeps you smiling today? Is it someone special?" Lalisa teased him, as Taehyung smiled shyly as he slowly nodded.

"Oh my god! Are you in love, Young Prince? Who is it?" Lisa excitedly squealed as she playfully slapped Taehyung's back in utter joy.

"S-Sorry, Young Prince. I acted preposterously." Lisa quickly apologized to Taehyung for her own idiotic actions. Taehyung smiled at her as he held her hand.

"It's fine, Lisa. You've been my personal maid for a decade. And I want you to treat me as your equal. Okay?" Taehyung said, a he smiled brightly at Lisa.

Lisa teared up as her lips quiver hearing those words from a royalty like Taehyung. "S-Sire! I swear I'll be behind your back all the time! Promise!" Lisa sniffed as she sniffed her snot that Taehyung laughed at.

"A-Anyways. Who's this person you're inlove with, Young Prince?" Lisa asked as she sat on the chair across Taehyung's.

"Can you keep everything I said to you today as a secret?" Taehyung asked her, who aggressively nodded, desperate to know who's the lucky person.

"Well, his name is Jeongguk. I met him when I sneaked outside the castle."

"Oh, so that's the reason why you've been waking up early, hm? Secretly meeting up with your lover... How sweet that is, Young Prince excitedly squealed, keeping her mouth shut.

"Have you experienced loving someone, Lisa?" Taehyung dreamily asked as he shrunk on his seat, being jelly of Jeongguk again.

"Yes, Young Prince. I've been in love with him for the longest time ever." Lisa spoke that caught Taehyung's attention. He sat properly as he listened to Lisa.

"And then?"

"I was inlove with him since we we're children. In fact, we are cousins. But the problem is he doesn't love me back. And so his father gave me a mission. If I succeed, I'll marry him, that's why I fled away. I fled away for him. But then again there's a barricade..." Lisa deeply sighed.

"What happened?" Taehyung asked, as he saw the sadness in Lisa's eyes turned into a fiery one.

"Well, a bitch came in between us." Lisa gritted her teeth in anger, suppressing it all inside. Taehyung flinched at the latter's words. It seems like Lisa's angry at him than the bitch that she's referring to.

"I-Is that okay for the guy? That once you succeed, he'll marry you whether he like it or n-not?" Taehyung felt a sense of fear with his question as the atmosphere between them became intense.

"There's nothing wrong about that, Your Majesty. Every people would come in many ways to achieve what they really want." Lisa stood up from her chair, as she managed to smile at the Young Prince.

"I-Isn't that selfish?" Taehyung bravely squeaked out as he held Lisa's wrist stopping her from walking away.

"It is not selfish to fight for your love, Young Prince." Lisa told him, smiling at Taehyung who was damn confused.

"Now if you excuse me, I have so many things to do. Later, Your Majesty." Lisa bid goodbye as she walked away, leaving Taehyung alone.

"But if you force your love to him, that ain't love..." Taehyung spoke sadly in the midst of the air. "... It's obsession."

Little did Taehyung knew, it was him that Lisa we're referring to. For Lisa, was the traitor.

"As what I've said, Young Prince. I would go on every length for Jeongguk to be mine. 'Coz he's mine. Mine, only." Lisa darkly grinned as she walked away laughing wickedly.
