--3rd Person POV--
The next couple of days went by quicker than Leah had been expecting. Before she knew it, it was her birthday. But she didn't acknowledge it. She never has and never will. But this year was a little different. She was sitting at a table by herself in the Leaky Caldron with some of her school books. That's when this 8-foot person walked in with a boy around her age.
"Merlin's beard! That's Harry Potter."
"Harry Potter has returned?"
The whole room filled with people whispering about this young boy. But Leah wasn't focused on that. She was focused on the fact that he had no clue why people were talking about him. He kept asking the giant next to him how these people knew him, but he wouldn't answer. Leah shook her head and turned back to her reading, unaware that she had caught the eye of the young boy.
"Alright, I got to take Harry to Diagon Alley so he can get his school supplies," the giant said after a while.
"Oi! Hagrid! Did you know that that girl over there, no Hagrid not her! In the corner! The girl with the school books all spread out in front of her? Yes, that girl. Well, she opened the entrance in the back without a wand. Yeah, it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. Yes, she's a first year. I was thought the same thing when you walked in with him. Could she be? Hagrid, could she be the missin-"
"Shh, I don't know if she is. But she could be. Now if you excuse me I have to get Harry ready for school."
Leah heard the giant, Hagrid, and the boy, Harry, walk out. Then she felt all eyes on her. She looked up to see people whispering and looking at her. Not used to that much attention she collected all of her books and walked upstairs to her room. Confused as to what the clerk thought she was.
--Leah's POV--
September 1 finally decided to show up and I was already at Kings Cross Station. Since I had no clue where Platform 9 3/4 was I thought it would be smart to get here thirty minutes early. I made my way down to Platform 9 and looked around. Hogwarts obviously exists, I've heard many people talking about it back at the Leaky Caldron. But the problem is, I don't know where the platform is. I probably should have asked the clerk how to get there.
I looked around for another twenty minutes, trying to come up with any place it could be. That's when I had an idea. what if the platform is actually where the ticket says it is. I pull out my ticket and look at it. Then I look at the wall between Platforms 9 and 10. What if... I walk over the wall and place my hand on it, but my hand disappears. Wow. Just. Wow.
I go back to my trolley and line it up with the wall. Then without a second thought, I run. Before I hit the wall I close my eyes, hoping that I was right about the platform. I open my eyes when I feel no collision and I am in awe. There is the coolest train I have ever seen and to top it off, I'm in a completely different place.
I go to move away from the entrance when someone runs into me from behind. I fall into my trolley and onto the ground. My trolley tips over on its side and all my stuff get scattered, while my trunk decides it wants to take a nap on my freaking face.
"Oh, bloody hell! I'm so sorry!" A voice says from... somewhere, probably the person who rammed into me.
"Ugh, the hurt like hell," I say moving my trunk from off of my face.
