~~Leah's POV~~
Everyone was quiet for a second. But then Fred and George stood up and started clapping. The whole Gryffindor table slowly followed suit. The Great Hall was filled with the cheers of all the Gryffindors, Hermione being one of the loudest among them along with the twins. The other houses, minus Slytherin, were clapping as well.
Fred and George run over to me and bowing in front of me. I laughed at their antics.
"All hail our princess!" They both yelled, causing everyone to laugh.
They picked me up, placing me on their shoulders, and carried me over to the Gryffindor's table as all the Gryffindors chanted,
"Hail the princess, hail the princess!"
The twins placed me down next to Hermione and then George held out his hand to me. I placed my hand in his and he leaned down, placing a soft kiss on the back of my hand.
He then let go and went back to sit back down with Fred. I turn around sitting across from Hermione, my face definitely a bright red. I'm only confused by George's actions, but there is no way to keep me from blushing. I looked up from the table to see Hermione grinning from ear to ear.
"You like him don't you?" She asks, glancing over at George.
"No, I don't! I only met him today and when I first saw him he ran me over with his luggage!"
Hermione bursts out laughing again, her face now bright red. Harry and Ron, who are sitting beside Hermione and me, turn to look at us, confusion was written all over their faces.
"You mean to tell me-" Hermione began saying, "That the Weasley twins ran you over?"
She tried to compose herself but failed, miserably.
"Wait," Ron cut in, "My brothers ran you over? That was you?" He to doubled over laughing, holding his stomach.
I shook my head in part disappointment and part enjoyment. Harry looked over at me, he too was shaking his head but he had a smile plastered on his face. That's when I felt something I had never felt before. Happiness and comfort. Two emotions you never felt at the orphanage.
"Attention!" A loud voice calls.
We all look up to find the man Standing up at the podium once again.
"That's Headmaster Dumbledore," Hermione whispers to me, seeing the confusion on my face.
I send her a grateful smile and then turn back to face the Headmaster.
"Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts! Before we begin our banquet, I would like to say a few words. And here they are: Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak! Thank you!" With that, the man turns back to his seat.
"What was that?" Harry asks, turning back to face our small little group.
"I don't have a bloody clue mate," Ron said. "But I do know that I'm extremely hungry.
Just as the words left his mouth, the whole table was filled with food. Piles of food! I'd never seen so much food in my life. There was anything you could dream of, mashed potatoes, chicken legs (which Ron already had 5 of on his plate), roast beef, and there was also a lot of candy.
