Fresh out of boot camp came back home from San Francisco a few days ago things have Changed during the few months I was away but its OK. I have to deal with it i also wonder what Ship I'm gonna be on placed on I know I'm gonna be a gunner on the Anti-Aircraft Guns because That's what i was trained for at boot camp in San Diego California as we came in to Pearl Harbor Some men were on the dock side grabbing the mooring lines as we were coming into the dock To be unloaded from the ship we came on and i remember it being a nice and warm sunny day With barely any clouds in the nice Hawaii blue sky and as i look at the line of battleships which Was the famous Battleship Row everyone knew about at the naval academy and what we Trained for many months and i was extricate to see that i was really in Hawaii to join the Us Navy Pacific fleet.
A few minutes later we were loaded off the ship and i knew i was were i belonged and i didn't Regret leaving the city of San Francisco for this Beautiful place of pearl harbor Hawaii as i Walked off a man grabbed my shoulder and asked "Hey are you Charles Johnson the guy boy From San Francisco." then i replied with a straight face "Yes Sir I am Who may you be sir?" the Man laughed then said to me "The names Tom Tommy Anderson i'm from the far farm lands of Iowa my friend and i will be your partner and i would like to be your first pal here well i made a Few pals with some of the locals here but the women here Charles,They have good looks my Friend like a hot summers day in Iowa Kind hot".
