"Teka, ba't parang kinabahan kayong lahat?" Luis looked around. "Wala ba akong karapatang batiin ang anak ko sa magandang balita na'to?"
"Oh my God, Tito. Powerful ka po doon!" Jancel stood up and clapped.
"Basta Ken and Teejay, do not let your relationship be the end of your friendship. And Ken, please alagaan mo ang anak ko."
The barrier that the two mothers created collapsed. They thought Luis would react differently because they knew that he's a man of opinion and principle.
"Salamat Tito Luis." Ken offered a handshake.
Luis swiped Ken's hand downwards—not agreeing to the formal show of respect. Instead, Luis embraced him by his left arm and messed up his hair with his right fist.
"Anak, Tatay na din ang itawag mo. Ako na din naman ang pangalawang ama mo." he said with a surprising formation of tears in his eyes. "Kung nakikita kayo ng Papa Hans mo, sigurado ako proud iyon sa inyo. Wala ng mahihiling pa ang isang magulang na maging masaya ang kaniyang anak."
Ken did not have the words to respond. He was clearly trying to hold back his emotions.
"Tay, baka hindi makahinga si Ken." Teejay also teared up.
Luis went back to the chair he was sitting on.
"Mako, may surpresa din ko sayo."
Ken's face lightened up. His excitement was showing.
"Akala ko wala eh. Asan?" Ken asked.
"Blindfold ka muna." Teejay said with a blindfold in his hand.
"What the heck? Kinikilig ako! Rai magselos ka naman!"
"Baliw ka talaga, Jancel. Masaya nga ako para sa kanila eh." Raiza pulled his hair slightly.
"Charot lang! Ito naman may pag-sabunot pa, patola!" he answered. "Suot mo na Ken!" Jancel cheered as Teejay came around Ken.
"Please walang gulatan ah?"
"Promise mahal ko." he assured him. Teejay tied the blindfold around Ken's head.
"Anak ng pepe! Rai kinikilig ako!" Jancel said as he hyperventilated.
"Umayos ka nga Jans, naha-hype ako sa'yo eh." Ken walked as he was guided by his boyfriend.
Teejay guided him to his bedroom. They started whispering to each other as they walked.
"Okay lang ba, Dy?"
"Ang alin, Mako?"
"Na sinabi ko sa harap nila na.."
"Na tayo na? Alam naman ni Nanay. Basta mamaya na natin pagusapan."
"Okay. Mahal kita."
Teejay smiled. He was happy to hear those words.
"Alright." he opened the door. They stepped inside a little further before he put his hands on the blindfold. "Are you ready? Teka.. pag nabaduyan ka mag-papaliwanag ako."
"Tanggalin mo na."
Teejay pulled the knot. The blindfold fell to the floor.
"Are you.." he gasped. "kidding me?"
He turned around and saw the walls covered by pictures of him—alone, with friends, family and Teejay.
He looked down to the floor. Rose petals danced as the wind from the window bursted in. The wind also brushed through the bed of red petals. A huge present laid flat surrounded by books.
