Ken passed by the mirror on the hallway and stopped. He saw the dried blood around his nostrils.

"Ba't ang tagal mo Mako? Halika doon sa.." Teejay was shocked. "Teka anong nangyari sa mukha mo?"

"Wala 'to. Nauntog kasi ako sa.." He looked at his boyfriend's bewildered face. He didn't wanna lie to him further. "S'ya nga pala. Samahan mo ko sa kwarto Dy."

"Halika muna punasan ko ilong mo." He pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket. He rubbed away the crust but he couldn't wipe off the blood trails.

"Pahiram na lang ako ng panyo. Tapos akyat tayo sa kwarto ko." He put the handkerchief over his nose concealing the blood.

"Teka, paano sila Jancel?"

"Basta, Dy. Sumunod ka lang sakin."

"Okay." he said as he raised his hand in the air, asking for Ken's hand.

"O, ano naman yan?" He was confused by the romantic gesture.

"Alam na nila diba? So pwede na siguro tayo mag hold hands." Teejay scratched his head.

Ken held his hand. It was warm. He felt more guilty with the fact that his memory of the incident was wiped.

They walked across the street with Ken's hand covering his nose.

The house had all the lights turned on. Laughter and chattering filled the air.

"Oo nga Mareng Esther, dapat pauwiin na natin ang mga bata, maagap pa tayo bukas!" Lisa uttered after she swallowed a spoonful of rice.

"Teka Tita," Raiza wiped the side of her mouth. "Anong oras po ba tayo bukas sa Pinagbanderahan?"

The boys came through the doorway. Their hands still connected.

"Oh. My. God." Jancel clapped after each syllable.

"Ah. Ma, may pag-uusapan lang kami ni Teejay sa taas."

"Okay, anak. Maagap tayo bukas ha? Mga before lunch."

"Eh Ma, paano pala si George? Susunduin pa namin bukas 'di ba?"

"After na lang siguro ng hiking natin bukas anak." She put her spoon on her empty plate. "Kasi diba, wala tayo? So wala ding magbabantay sa kanya if morning natin sunduin."

"Sige po," he pulled Teejay's hand gently as they walked towards the staircase. "akyat na muna kami."

The boys shuffled up the stairs to Ken's room. Teejay closed the door behind him.

Ken let go of his hand and slowly walked towards the bed.

"Are we gonna?" Teejay asked with hesitance.

Ken shook his head.

"Dy," he sat down. "May mga nangyayari na hindi ko ma-explain. Lahat nagsimula noong makuha ko 'tong kwintas na 'to kay Mama."

"Ah. Alam mo sa tingin ko, time-machine 'yan."

Ken dropped the handkerchief that he was holding. He heard Teejay say that before. He planned to play along.

"Sige, anong i-pupusta mo?"

"Ikaw muna."

"Sige. Pag mali ka, hindi ka magsusuot ng underwear for the whole week." He repeated what he had said a few minutes ago. It seemed like he was digging for something.
